PA outdoor light cycle

Does anyone know when Pennsylvania outdoor light cycle turns to 12/12?
Probably in late october or some shit. Luckily,

Your plant will not wait until the days are 12hrs long and then 'snap' into flowering. "12/12" is a purely indoor technique. It has no bearing on outdoor growing and should be a banned word in this forum. It shouldn't be much longer until you start to see heavy pistil development.

Good luck with the rest of your grow and be sure to report back at the end. :hump:

Farmers Almanac online. Can't remember the exact way to find it, just don't smoke first. In Carolina it is mid September.

I'm with Angus! I'm at the 45th paralell and we are now roughly 14 hours of daylight. My Matanuska will start to flower this week and will finish in roughly 45 days. Indoors the same strain under 12/12 will take me 73 days.

We need a sticky for this
i answer it daily, so im getting pretty good at the response.
The Euqinox is on sept 21/22 and again on march 21/22 every year.
See a pattertn? first day of fall, first day of spring?
This however will not help anyone growing weed out of doors
As stated before plants dont wait for 12/12 to flower, if they did, they wouldn't have time to finish before the frost. Instead they will begin to flower sometime after june 21 when the days are getting shorter. Usually Marijane plants will show you sex between the middle of july and the middle of august. Exact flowering times depend on too many factors to predict. Temp, Humidity, daylight shade, soil quality, lattitude, and the plants genetics all are factors that determine when the plant will flower.
hope this helps guys
just be patient, they will show soon.

21st or 22nd September - the same in PA as everywhere else in the world - when the sun is directly over the equator (varies a few hours year on year).

But 12/12 has no relevance whatever to an outdoor grow, your plants will be flowering long before that.

yeah your plants will flower at 14/10 outside 90% of the time. maybe a little lower. 12/12 is useless outside unless you force flower but that should only be for people living in england or other places winter hits early. canada. most of russia etc.

Oo , im in pa also , and my plants are nice size now , they have over 6 colas each , but unfortunately they havent started budding yet.
Its been getting a bit cooler in temp outside , and the branches are getting a little purple , but also seem to be getting thicker.

I was wondering maybe if any1 knows , if cold shocking a plant can trigger flowering , or if its at all a trigger for anything.

Some1 told me that right before folwering the branches will thickn up .

Now im thinking , well im almost there =D

???

my other plant has purple stems on it too it couldnt be from cold temps cause its been 80 average in the day and 68 average at night.
