Overwatered or under watered

I have these three plants and I'm having a hard time tellin whether each is overwatered or underwatered

Plant 3

I really don't think I overwater or water too often but I am a noob so what do I know. And opinions appreciated

Not particularly but i don't think I know the pots well enough yet to judge that. But I do know that I used about 4oz of water per plant on the last watering pots are 3 gallons I believe

Lack of oxygen maybe.. make sure when u water it that ur plants runs off (drains) well..

I've honestly never watered so much that there is runoff. There are big holes in the bottom of the pot and I'm using FFOF/perlite at a 3:2 ratio so I believe drainage is done

let the soil dry out if its damp. What kind of light are you using?

My vote is dry. But it could be a number of things. Are those desk lamps?

They are all under cfl's. I just don't want to assume it's underwatered if it's actually overwatered and fuck them up

lol yeah it looks dry. Might need a boost of nitrogen and alittle better light. Its lacking energy somewhere.

fluff the surface of the soil with your finger about a half inch down and get the roots some air. if you have moisture in the soil that far down, the roots have something.

shoplight, 24/7 is a easy cheap way to veg. keep the top of the plant about an inch or 2 away. You'll just have to move the light up alittle every day or 2.

There are some strains that just don't like FFOF, especially at an early age in life. That soil is better for plants that are older, that are getting ready to enter the flower stage of life.

They're desk lamps, I must admit. But each bulb is a 100w equivalent and each plant had at least one bulb

This babe bro is right about the light. Drill more holes on the side of your pot so you will never worry about over watering your hoe's.

Under watered all the way. Your soil is probably so dry now you need to re-wet it. Put a large pan or tray under the pot and fill it with water so the soil can wick it up. Dry soil pulls away from the pot sides and has a hard time holding water again so you need to bottom water first. Then put in dry pan and top water very slowly until you get a little bit of run off.

Based on the top layer it seems clearly under watered.

Leaves in first pic show underwatering too.

The petioles, however, and the leaves on the third pic, say "over watered".

If they the soil at the bottom is dry, follow Bugeye's suggestion. However, I'd make really sure it's not too wet at the bottom already. The topsoil may just be that dry from the bulbs, while at the bottom it's overwatered. Using too large pots too soon that is. If the bottom remains wet yet you don't water till it drains, the water at the bottom is still the same oxygen-depleted old water while the top evap and dries.

Yes, I think I will vote for "both".

yeah those types of lights just really don't do justice for growing a plants. $25 at walmart and you can have a T12 shop light setup with light bulbs and it is cheap to run and doesn't get hot. Trust me, 24\7 with that shop light, your plants will grow fast. Just do what these guys are saying and hit up that soil, probably just water, cause foxfarm will burn those little ladies at that age. A good flush and they should be ok.
