Oversized autos

Hi folks, got 3 auto fem pinapple chunk in a confined space that are nearing 5-6ft now :/ I have been tying them down making S shapes with the main stems but accidents happen given how much room i have to work with so shade leaves and baby tops have been broken off and some of the thicker stems have ended up with kinks in them and one even has a split up the center. They are still very bushy from top to bottom but they have been going into flower now for about 1 and a half weeks (on week 7 now), i still see no proper buds but plenty of the wispy hairs and the lower leaves are going yellow and coming off. Other than that a few signs of heat stress on the top leaves can be seen (possibly a bit of nute burn... am unsure) and ive had fungus gnats from the start but i seem to have dealt with that ok.

I have them under a meager 250w light and light penetration to the lower half of the plants is near non existent especially with all the tying ive had to do so i dont run out of space. I originally had them on 20/4 but due to circumstances and anothers persuasive voice (even though tbh i wasnt really pursuaded) ive cut them down to a 14/10 after giving them 24 hours of dark.

I think the problem is that there is far too much soil and the three ladys arent seperated, they all share the same box. Everything ive read suggests that topping and trimming is a big no on autos, but these ladys are out of control and dont look to be wanting to stop any time soon.

So id just like to hear some thoughts on what to do... should i chop them down to size or give them a trim to enhance light pen? or should i perhaps trim lower leaves away as the dont see much light anyway? Also as they are in flower now will they maybe stop growing? I would like to transplant them to a smaller medium and seperate them, but i suspect the root network is extensive and has interwoven with each other. Its all become a bit of a problem tbh and part of me just wants to chop them down and start from scratch.

Any advice right now is good advice :) I will try and get some pictures up when i can get a decent camera (my phones cam is terrible).

Thanks in advance! ^^

im pretty sure i wouldnt have thought you would see growth like i have in 7 weeks with regulars. I got the seeds from Attitude who i think are trustworthy from what ive read about them... spose you can never be sure :/

The left one (which is the largest) isnt showing any signs of budding really but the other 2 have began to show the white hairs between the stems that confirm its a female, I will get the pictures soon as i can as that will answer most questions i imagine. Tbh 18 inches was what i was expecting, i think they just have way too much soil to spread their roots :(

I may have exaggerated the size a bit, id say maybe between 4-5ft instead

How old are they from seed? Has nothing to do with attitude... they are just a seed bank who buys seeds from breeders....breeder could have sent out fucked up seeds......breeders name and the straind

Ok so i just took alot of photos and i picked the best quality ones out so here they are. The camera is awful but you can get a good idea of whats going on i think.

What you say about 3 weeks makes me wonder maybe they arent autos, only responce i can offer is that one of the below photos you can see the little white hairs sticking out and that happened before i switched the light cycle. Am i right in saying that regular plants dont flower until you change the light cycle?

7 weeks from seed now btw sry

Ok if you guys think thats best ill go ahead with it. How much shall i take off the top? I switched them to 14/10 just last night so they are still on their 1st day, am i ok to just reduce the timer by 2 hours and top them or should i give them another 24 hours darkness first? If so should i top them them before the dark period or after?

Thanks for the quick replys btw guys :)

I know haha, its truly been a struggle :(

Its because i didnt dare chop them at all coz i believed them to be autos :/ Will do that then, am i ok to take like 1 - 1½ft off of them coz that would make things alot easier. or shall i just take the top shoot off?

you should give the plants a week longer in veg after topping to recover from the stress before you go 12/12...plants have feelings to let the recover from the stress of topping before you flower em.

cut them down to 18 inches to 24 in and split the main stem into two main stems. just split it about half an inch or so..like i said a week to heal up before going into flower would be for the best
