Overkill? (Timber)

Morning RIU,
Just looking for your guys thoughts. I'm LOVING the looks of the Timber fixtures as my introduction into LED. My question is, in my 4x4 space, is the Timber Fatty VS overkill @ 950 watts max? Should I maybe go with the Redwood VS instead? That's at 640 max watts. Reading the dimensions of the fatty, it will fit but barely..

I've also been eyeing two sets of HLGs 320 XLs

You guys rock, thanks

The band Overkill?

No personal experience with Timber, but based on knowing that their output information is factual, I can't imagine running 900+ watts for 16 sq feet...640 ought to be plenty.
The real question is, how long will you only have 4x4 to cover?

Yeah I might have just been drooling over the fatty after smoking. You're right, maybe if I was upgrading my space in the near future but 4x4 is all I can do. The Redwood probably makes the most sense

Hi @ToffeeKindle

I saw your post - I agree - the Fatty VS is a lot of light for a 5'x5' area, and arguably too much for a 4'x4' area. We spaced the COBs in the Redwood in such a manner that they provide as even a footprint as possible over a 4'x4' area @ 18" above canopy.

I hope this helps - happy to answer any questions you may have.

Have a good day.

Regards,
Dan
