Overheating grow area - Advice?

Hi, I am newbie and am attempting my first grow, some Lowryder/diesel lowryder in a mini-fridge, but am having issues setting up my environment. Hoping someone can give me some advice to solve my overheating issue.

Problem:
Temps rise to 33C (91f) in 30 mins (+12C) on the outside air

I am using a gutted mini fridge which is W50cm x H85cm X D60cm

I am using a 400W HPS in a 5" cooltube, being cooled by a 5" 245m³ /Hour (144CFM) inline fan. The cool air is being pulled past the bulb. The cooltube gets quite hot to the touch after a while.

Another inline fan, 4" 187m³ /Hour (110 cfm) is changing the air inside the cab. This fan is extracting from the back-top of the mini fridge. 2x 4" passive inlets at the back-bottom of the fridge let air in.
Outlet goes into a 4" can filter.

I am leaning towards getting a stronger fan, maybe 350m³ / Hour to change the air inside the cab to reduce the heat. Would this work?

Does anyone have any advice ?

Cheers

you could put a frozen bottle of water in front of your fan to lower temps. i only do this in emergencies though, you need to straighten out your vent issues or find something better to grow in. a refrigerator is built to retain temps, be they hot or cold

Cooltubes are usually quite effective, also if you have for ballast outside the room it helps. I think your heat issue is because you’re growing in such a well heat insulated environment the heat stores to well. A stronger fan may have a small effect to the heat but what your using is more then sufficient for the space. I recommend trying to 'gut' the fridge more, so take out anything in between insulating heat, I'm guessing it double walled, if so drill holes through one of the wall so you get air flow to the wall that’s receives the heat.

Thanks for the replies. I bought a more powerful fan (350M³ p/hour), fan speed controller and put a 3mm perspex sheet (with cutouts for air to pass) an inch below the cooltube. It worked wonders, Temp is down to 25C now.
The seedlings are away now, looking forward to first harvest.
