Over Watering ?!?

Planted on June 1st, 6 foot tall, 13 weeks old, no idea what strain, in the ground with some MG,compost and top soil. PH was 6.0 last time I checked (2 weeks ago)

I saw this same thing happen a week ago. I fed her and the yellowing stopped. I got some hard rain 5 days ago. I didn't water her all week (let her dry out). So today I fed her 2 gallons (2 tsp MG, 1/2 tsp epsom, 1/2 tsp powered egg shell, 1 tbs molasses & rain water). There was a little yellow in the leaves before I fed her today, but I can tell that there is more now then this morning (almost 12 hours ago). I have 2 others (4 feet tall, different strains) that show nothing like this. Any idea's would be greatly appreciated. :leaf:

I'm no expert by any means but 6.0 is pretty low ph for soil... I recommend 6.3. - 6.8 Yes look like they have had to much water but I would wait for a better answer.. Someone who can give you more advice then just a newbie grower.

The tips curling under like a rams horn is a sign of over watering. Im a little rusty on my deficiencies but id say you have a nitrogen problem, also, you see how all the stems of the fan leaves are DARK purple?.....That's a sign of phosphorus deficiency, Give her some flower nutes, and i would suggest backing off with the MG, i believe you mean miracle grow? I dont know how many times ive heard it said "DO NOT USE MG ON POT PLANTS", But ill say it again....."DO NOT USE MG ON POT PLANTS" ;)

i would agree with your pH being little low, which can lock nutrients out (will seem like a deficiency). it's there, but the roots aren't able to take it in

thanks you guys for all your input. This isn't my 1st time growing. The PH might be lower then 6.0 right now, but 6.0 is not low enough to cause that much damage/lockout. Its not a phosphorus deficiency the leave stems are purple in this strain (I have grown it before) its always been like that. Its not a lack of N either...I just fed them 15-30-15, and it would be light green leaves all over, not yellowing on a few. Also miracle grow is fine to use as long as you know how to use it, newbies should stay away from it. Most people burn there plants with it. I will do a PH test today and see where its at. if its around 6.0 to 7.0. Then i'm still a little stumped as to why there is so much yellowing.

*Edit* Just checked PH is 6.2 and my others are 6.5

it could be from the medium being water logged preventing air to roots which isnt allowing uptake of certain nutrients.

This is what I was thinking also. It's going to rain tomorrow so the problem will only get worse. I guess she needs even more then 5 days without water.

Both happen when the soil is to acidic & excessive potassium. PH is good so it must be the potassium. Sounds like that could be the cause. Thanks

Hmmm. So the yellowing had slowed down a bit for 2 days. Then it rained today and I see that the yellowing picked back up. Is there anything that causes yellowing only when its watered...other then over watering? Any ideas?
