Over water?

I have an issue with my first grow.
As you can see in the pics my setup is pretty simple.
150 watt HPS, intake fan, 2 exaust fans, oscillating fan, panda plastic.
They popped out of the soil 8 days ago. Lighting schedual is 18/6, temp is at 82 to 86 in the day and probably around 75ish at night. Humidity currently at 40%, no nutes added yet.
I think Ive over watered them! the one in the pictures is the worst. The other is still green all over just not as green as it should be.
Any help would be awesome!

Thanks

You should start them in small container so you can manage them better. You will have less problems starting out with small pots and working your way up.

Ive read how to change the ph in water, but how do you change the ph in the soil???
Like I said, mines at 7. I dont know what the ph of the water is but I will before my next watering. I dont want to add more water especially if Ive already over watered them.
Thanks for the help.

Thats why you start babies in little pots. You know how much water they have. Dnt worry about ph. 7 they still should be green. Its all about the water. Start ph your water.

They are slowly turning yellow though. The one in the picture, the tips are getting darker yellow/brown.
The low temperature last night got down to 71. Could the fluctuation between 71 and 80 be what doing it? Should I try and get the 71 up a few more degrees?
Thanks for all of the help.

Could it be underwatering? Those pots look pretty dry, if you can water and within 30sec to 1 min you see water coming out the bottom you have good drainage, it's nearly impossible to overwater if you have good drainage.

Your dirt should never dry out more than about an inch down, and with seedlings the roots are shorter so you should not even let the very top dirt dry out at this stage.

OK, I got my ph water tester. My filtered tap water is at 7. I dropped it to 6/6.5 and watered the plants.
I think it is draining away from the roots too fast because of the size of the pots they are in. Ill just have to water every day to keep up with them. Next grow I will start in smaller pots. I dont want to transplant them to small pots and shock the seedlings even more than I already have.

Thanks agin for the info.

They are still yellow! New growth is lite green but its fading to yellow fast. They are 21 days old and only about 2 inches tall. Ive got the water ph at 6 - 6.5, Im keeping them watered since they are in larger pots than they should be in, and the light (150 watt hps) is about 1 foot off of them. Temp fluctuates between 71 and 81 degrees (day and night, 18/6 light cycle) and humidity is at 45%.
HELP!! Im scared they are going to die on me!

Thanks

Are they old enough to start giving nutes even at a 1/4 or 1/2 dose??? I thought you added them at one month.
yes they r ,from the sounds of it
u start to feed them when there r 4 true leaves
start with 1/4 dose
feed,water,water,feed
after a couple feedings take it up to half and so on:eyesmoke:
