over crowding and herm questions

hey! i have two questions and am clearly a newbie (based on pics lol).
Anyway last year i was gifted two clones from some great genetics (idr exactly) but they thrived until i moved. they hermied - i think because of stress but it is likely that there was a male plant in the new grow room fairly recently. anyway it hermied, and i got a bunch of seeds and decided to just grow them for fun
my 2 questions: since i thought they wouldn't really grow and just wanted to do it as an experiment is it worth the energy and soil in continuing this grow?
2. If i should continue the grow, what would be the best way to untangle the roots in the big pot? Wet or dry?

they are currently in earthworm casting, peat moss, organic potting soil mix, and vermiculite
also one i planted on its own lol idk im bored during covid haaha

I would continue to grow them, but that's me totally your choice if you can be bothered. As for separating dry would be best to separate them I think as soil would be easier to crumble take it out of pot and gently push either side of soil should help.

If you had a male in with them I don't think they would have hermied as a Hermie is a female that self seeds due to stress if you had male you will probably have to sex them when you go to a 12/12 if under lights, then if you like the strain I believe you would need to take cuttings from each plant, then throw plant and cuttings from plant if male and then you want to choose a strong clone from a good female that you are flowering to keep as a mother. If I'm honest I'm still learning about Hermies and usually go from seed so knowledge on this is limited.

Starting multiple seeds in the same pot is a bad idea. Transplant will be difficult at best, likely will kill most of the plants unless you can transplant into a very large pot, say 50 gallons and let them all grow but unless you are in a gym setting with 1000's of watts of light and room I'd say its a bad idea. Best bet is to cull the herd. Take the best plant of the bunch and pinch the others off. My 2 cents, good luck!

do you think i should let them fight it out to seee who comes out most powerful or chop now before those little leeches steel their nutrients?

yeah i was surprised that they all germinated so quickly because i placed it by a heater, only had a large pot and stupidly placed them all in. had some solo cups but filled with coco which i now do not like whatsoever, but maybe that was just the brand

The longer you leave them the harder to separate three options try separate,bigger pot or keep the strongest. I personally would try separate some Wil make it some might not.

okay, gonna crank up the heat and let these dry out and will see what i can get done tomorrow - will post updates, will probably leave strongest plant in the same pot if possible

see who's strongest.... keep them... cull the rest

or do whatever you want really

you could grow them all in one pot like that...

It would work but very doubtful it would work well.. But hell what the reason to live if you can't experiment! Have fun with whatever you do!

too late i chopped them all up and put them into little pots has like a 60% survival rate maybe less lol
