Lol what is the accuracy on that number? Am I included in this percentage? Just because the anti religious people are louder doesn't mean they hold any intellectual reason. All they say is you cant prove God is real, therefore its not... lol what? Prove that its not real then we shall talk. Where did the protein come from to create a cell? Exactly, STFU!

You can't prove a negative. That's like saying "Prove bigfoot doesn't exist.". Also, your trivial reference to cell protein proves nothing, other than an absence of curiosity. People used to think diseases were caused by bad blood that needed to be bled from the body; we later learned that is not the case. Attributing it to a mysterious man in the sky is no less irrational. Instead of asking where it came from, and seeking provable answers; your brain jumps to "It must be God! Surely there is no other answer!". That kind of thinking is what keeps useful progress from occurring.

Okay then prove how the earth was created lol. Which came first, the DNA message, the RNA carrier, or the protein, when producing each of them requires the others to already be there?

I have evidence that he is real, I can feel him and see the miracles that he does. You wouldn't understand because you haven't experienced it or had faith in it.

We have excellent evidence about how the earth (and all the the planets) was created from the dust and gases in the accretion disc of our own sun's nebula. We can see how stars and planets are born, why would ours be special?
There probably will be no way to figure out how life on this planet was started. Even if we figure out one way how life COULD have started, we won't know if that's what happened here. Just like many large buildings, including the pyramids, the scaffolding is no longer present but the scaffolds were necessary to create the building. Likewise, there was probably some other replicator that predates even RNA (which is probably older than DNA). Crystals and other minerals replicate spontaneously. They could have acted as scaffolding for more complex biological replicators. Of course we don't know but pretending that our lack of knowledge somehow makes the argument for god is pretty stupid.

i think that people don't want to admit that existence has no inherent meaning or purpose... it is a very hard thing to accept.

Dude's nowhere to be found either...

Again... typical.
Oh sorry I have a life other than being on a computer all fucking day every day. Been dealin with the death of a close friend and don't have internet soooo yeah. Idk guys I just feel like it could be just as possible for there to be a heaven, earth, and hell as it could be possible for some dust to go bang. Call it parallel universes or different dimensions. I'm no quantum physicist but why couldn't it be true? While you guys may not think its real, many people do. Both Christian and non christian. One theory is that a building will be torn down and a new one will go up and it will open a portal to another dimension allowing the antichrist to come. Kinda a simple way of opening an invisible door but who knows till it happens.. Kinda like stargate I guess.. A lot of symbolism in the stargate series too. But don't get me wrong I'm not a stargate fan lol. Couldn't science and religion go hand in hand? If E=mc2 is proven wrong and time travel is possible couldn't anything be possible? It's hard to debate you science guys because you're all wordy and nobody knows what you're even talking about. It's kinda makes it easy for you to say whatever.. I hope you guys are right, really, but I 'm not ready to lose my faith because someone said its not real

I'm tired and not all there so sorry for the rambling. Not even going to proof read lol. Been to 2 funerals in the last month and feel pretty low so take it easy on me.. I've said it before, If you're right we both die and are worm food, but if I'm right, I go to heaven and you go to hell. Think about that when you're talkin trash about the biggest "theory" yet

Sorry to hear about your friend

"Why couldn't it be true? [Heaven/Hell]"

It very well could be true. But why base your life on a system of belief based on something that could be true, especially at the cost?

"Couldn't science and religion go hand in hand?"

Up to a point, but when someone favors superstition and tradition over observable fact and the power of prediction, it becomes a huge problem. You end up with people believing ideas that seem silly on the surface but are actually very dangerous and detrimental to society.

Some people muddle up the substance with scientific jargon, but that's completely counterproductive. That's one reason so many people don't understand science, because in the past, that's how it was, confusing. Don't get me wrong, some topics are just tough to grasp, but recently, people like Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, Neil D. Tyson (especially), and in the recent past, Carl Sagan recognize that and significantly tone it down to make it easier to understand for the layman (that's us).

The threat of Hell is just about as horrifying as Santa's workshop..

Thank you for your remorse, it's no fun when someone dies.

You say why base your life on something that could be true and I say because it helps me be a better person. Unlike the common misconception I don't live in fear of God or hell, I think that is the Catholics that practice fear of going to hell. I feel that the Christian religion gives me values, goals, and faith in getting trough hard times that my fellow non-believer friends lack. Christianity has given me strength to press on through lifes many uncertainties that some weak minded people would stress about. Idk the bible is just good advice to live by. It's not meant to cause fear or confusion. Many critics of the Christian faith base their thoughts on specific denominations or specific Christian people. One must understand that people have changed the message to fit their needs and some use it to their benefit, like the Catholics lol. A lot of Christian critics that used to be christian were indeed Catholic so I don't necessarily blame them from being turned away. I belong to no denomination but if i had to pick a title I would have to choose Charismatic Christian believing in the Holy Trinity(A little more substance than your normal Protestant)

I've run out of time but hope that will suffice for now. Have a good one everyone
