The girls have been outside for about a month now. Shitty day out today, but I went out and got a few pics anyway.
Your plants are looking great guys and thanks for keeping things going while I was away.

Thanks bro, you have some very nice looking plants going yourself. Looking nice and healthy.

I'm way out in the boonies with a south facing slope outback that gets no shade at all. My girls really get pounded all summer long. :fire: When you combine that with the right outdoor strains, good rich healthy soil to begin with, and plenty of room for a massive root system, the results can be really spectacular. Of course, as we all know, mother nature can change everything in a heartbeat. "Keep Em Green Everyone" and keep those updated pics. rolling on in. :weed:

hey guys I'm a little behind....I have a few plants that have been veggin for about two weeks....And I have 4 clones that should be going in soil soon....

Question is....I am in the NE 43 N.Latitude.....Due to work schedule and stuff I am not going to get to plant them outside until July 15 which has about 15 hours of daylight.....Lights are running 18-6 now......Should I just run 18-6, and then put them outside ? Or, should I change my lighting to match the 15 hours of outside light ?

thanks, SC

Im not indoor pro, and any time I went in to out was early spring when the days are still getting longer. But My guess is that they will just start flowering when they sense the schedual change. inside or out. I would keep them 18-6 until they go out. Maybe get a real pros opinion but that's mine.

Your girls are looking awesome, foothills. You've probably mentioned this somewhere in your thread already, but what size bags are you using? I went with fabric pots this year too and have had good results. I'll throw up a few pics next time I'm out and about on my rounds.

What happened to your Frisians that you had going a month ago? Was curious to see how you were doing since I'm growing Frisian dew, myself. Unless I've got you confused with someone else.. Ha.

In regards to your lighting schedule question; if i were you id just keep my lights on 24/7 to get them as big as possible before throwing them outside. There won't be much veg time left in the season if you think about it. Buds start forming the last week of July at the earliest to the 2nd week in August at the latest from my experience.

Thanks man. I'm using 65 gallon smart pots for the girls this year. I started out with like 25 gallon plastic totes years ago, but like the fabric pots much better. I also like to loosen up and amend the soil underneath and around the bottom of the pots. My soil is crap and loaded with shale, the amendments can make a huge difference once the roots punch through the bottom and you can get some monsters, if that's what you're after. Glad you're liking the fabric pots as well and I'm looking forward to seeing those pics. Good luck with the grow !! :leaf:

Holy... 65 gallon? Didn't realize they were that big! But then again, there's not much for scale in the pictures. Since it was my first year trying them I went a little cautious and only got 15's, but halfway into the season I can tell I should have went at least twice that. Can't imagine hauling enough soil for 65's into the swamp... Maybe next year.

I hear what you're saying. If mine were out in the swamp and I was trying to haul enough to fill the 65s, I'd never make it home again.

What ever you do, don't plant them straight in full sun the first day. I would find a shady place for the first couple of days to acclimate the plant to the hot July sun. As far as light schedule that's all dependent on you. I would keep them at 18-6 if it was me because the plants roots grow in the dark period and thats just as important to bud production as anything in my opinion.

This weather is killing me. 1 of my 2 regulars outside looks like sheit from the beating it's taking from the wind on top of my hill with all these storms. I decided since my auto's will be done real soon, I'm going to take a bunch of clones tomorrow of some G-13 cheese and The dog just to put right back into the pot with the no till theory since I know what's left in the soil still. I think next year I'll get a couple of them 65 gallon fabric pots. I'm impressed with what you're doing with them and my hill is all solid clay. So I spend lots of time mending soil and digging holes with drainage etc...just because last time I tried large pots they got rootbound at about 8 feet tall in Aug. It was a bitch transplanting not to mention the loss of bud from being transplanted in early flower. Sorry to ramble, just puffing.bongsmilie
