outdoor Soil Question

I have 6 babies going right now in a 1 gal bag full of 50%peat moss and 50% earthworm castings they have been consistently growing but not shooting off like they did last year is the soil mix alright or too high in nitrogen, any recommendations I should clarify 6 in 6 individual bags, obviously i plan on putting that in the bigger bags later on but i just had a feeling that my soil mix might be in issue.

That soil should rock their socks, I would think it was more likely a lighting or temp or moisture problem.

Well sweet i thought they should enjoy that high nitrogen soil mix and i think it was the temp it still has been a little chilly at night high 50's low 60's so i have been moving them had 5 more pop up last night ohh budy i love these babies i also decided to add some vermiculite to the mix don't know how that skipped my mind before.

The vermiculite would make it lighter and add water penetration... also, I really have to learn Fahrenheit. Although, that would be like learning French, in few years nobody is going to speak it.

Sorry about kinda steeling this post but im in a hurry. I have a spot picked. practicly all day sunlight,
and since there is such good sun is it okay that i use the existing soil. It is a bit heavy and would be too hard to get the amount of soil i need to there.

your plants will still grow but the bud might not be as good quality as if you used potting soil but still ya they will grow fine in soil, but use your judgment does the soil at your plot look half decent? a spot where grass has been growing for many years is an indication to good soil because when the grass dies it put nutrients back in the soil.

I wasn't really clear, thank you for the feedback. The nature earth where i am at is suburb and there is always nice grass growing i was mixing my own soil with just earth worm castings and peat moss but i am doing a mix with the ground soil peat moss perlite and earthworm castings and the problem i was having was the soil temperature the leaves where at a 75 ish temp but the soil was around 55 so i firgured the roots wheren't growing i fixed that by just paing more attention and getting a little greenhouse cover for out side and keeping a infared light on them at night they are looking super good. thank for all the replies.
