Outdoor sea of green idea-will it work?

I’m sure most of you reading this thread haven’t touched my other thread. So just some background, I had to construct a super ghetto cardboard box light to get my outdoor girl back to vegging. And that just gave me an idea.

Clones! I need to learn how to do clones to maximize my plant limit potential.

What I’m thinking, is that I might be able to take cuttings in late May, have it root by mid June, and throw 6 of them out there in a 45 gallon Rubbermaid tub. The dimensions are about 3.5 feet by 18 inches. If I fill it with good soil, stick six plants in, do you think they’ll be okay in one tub?

2 max i would say. I put 3 week old seedlings out July 1st and they ended up being 8 feet tall. ended up being bigger then the once i put out may 25th. I guess with the ground being warmer lets them grow alot faster and have zero stunting.

I agree, don't put more than two as they could easily out grow that space. I also agree with tracking temperature and definitely follow the moon cycle of growth(waxing). U wanna transplant when the moon is in it's growth cycle(waxing) and NOT waning. U can download an app for this to make it easy.

They were in 3" cocofiber pots, I just put them straight into the ground without cutting open the cocofiber pots so it was a little hard for them to grow roots out of the pot (I will never use those again) I think they got very rootbounded before they were able to grow out of the pots. But on the other hand Yes they were in the ground. Dont put more then 2 in that container you will get the same if not more yield from 2 as 6 in the same container.

Okay, btw, I realize that the term sea of green is used wrong here. You learn something new everyday. For years, I thought it was just coined for rooms that have tons of small plants and didn't realize it was designed for perpetual harvest.

That would be nice but I dont have that much space. I have a 12 plant limit. 6 mature. 6 immature.

So as far as mature goes, I have 3 black feminized seeds growing, 1 gdp, 1 blueberry bag seed, and I hope to add either a big yielder or a Purple Urkel to the mix.

What I was hoping to do was put 6 Jack Herrer clones (assuming my little baby clone will grow enough branches to clone by June) and keep them all under 10 inches. I dont know why I wanted to try it in a tub like this, I may be better off with 6 3 gallon pots?

I want to do that with the Jack Herer in particular because it finishes in September. It gets my plant count down sooner for less paranoia.
