anyone out there tried scrog growing outside.
this prolly sounds mad but if grown scrog style the plant would be less obvious to my neighbours as i've got flowers and shrubs growing in my garden

Dont think you really need to do a scrog outside, just need to do some LST, tie down and work branches to where you want them.

I work mine along the ground and amongst my tomatoes along a wall. Might want to plant later in the season as well to keep size down, depending on strain and climate.

Got some Strawberry Cough and original Bubblegum, they are only a few inches at the moment behind some 2 foot tomatoes. They wont get that big but enough for me once they are done in a few months :weed:

yeah i got some plants growing outdoors and its rite up against my neighbours fence , so i just lst them real friggin low and chuck something infront of them by the fence , im still half paranoid ima wake up to concussion grendade going off and the popos slamming me down tho lol ,

I know this is lazy but:
is it ever too late to LST the plant?
Like, my stem is pretty big, but i'm worried the plant will get too close to the top of the fence/over it...

Yeah if you dont train a plant early I think its nearly always too late once branches start getting too strong, you can also stress a plant and put it back a week/weeks if your not careful. You could probably very slowly shape well formed branches but need to be careful not to crease/bend stems. You need to be doing it when the plant is like 3-4 inches, especially the main branch while its still fresh.

I saw a guy on another forum bend the main branch on a two foot high plant in half on a right angle and he thought he was doing LST on it :spew: It was more like HST
