well, here is my outdoor plant at about 1 month and about 4 days. its looking pretty good I think, not quite sure though. some insects have been munchin on it I believe, and I hit a few grasshoppers off it today. I am using a very light nutrient mix of 7-7-7, and that seems to be workin well, although I spilled it on one of my leaves by accident:roll: . in regards to the insect problem, I have heard that a very dilute solution of distilled white vinagar will kill most types of insects. is that ok to spray on my plant, or will it cause adverse effects? any feedback on my plant so far would be usefull, because this is my first grow... hehe.

thats an eight gallon pot, do you really think I will need more than that? I thought the general rule of thumb was 1/2 gallon per foot, and I am hoping I dont get a 16 foot plant. just dont want to transplant hehe.

I personally wouldnt spray vinegar on my plants- even if it were diluted-

get some of the insect killing soap- it puts a nice "waxy" layer over your leaves, kinda looks cool too..... should fix the prob.

Man i dont care how old it is, but i do think it is a very nice looking plant you have there.
Keep up the good work.....

And try using diluted dish soap and spray on your plant...(not vinegar...i would think it would cause more prob, than it would solve)

you need a bigger pot.. at least 10 gallon
Im no genious here but a 10 gallon bucket for 1 plant. You must have typed an extra zero in there... no way n e lady can need that much room... I was under the impression that 1gal per foot was sufficient

For pest control , I recommend Safer brand fruit and vegetable insecticide.
It is organic, and can be used up to day of harvest ( although I wouldn't
use it once flowering starts just because I'm wary of poison on my buds).
I tried a homade remedy, then neem, both gave only so-so results. Then I
brought in the Safer and my pest problem was finished.

Peace and GL!

well, thanks for all your help, I pulled up the pot just now, and woah, ,the roots are busting out the bottom, so, I may end up just transplanting that to the ground, because I am kinda out of soil, and I dont know where to get myself a bigger pot. yeah, I started this plant on june 4th, and it was from seed (it sprouted on that day). It was only bag seed, but I am hopin it will do fine for a first grow. Im not sure where I heard the vinager thing, but I think that it was from roseman, (Not sure, if I am wrong dont smite me lol) keep the comments coming, I surely appreciate them.
