Outdoor Guerilla Grow 2012

hey ladies n gents
i am fairly new to this site and i just wanted to know everyones opinon.
1. what is a high yielding outdoor strian (mostly indica)
2. this strain also has to have a short flowering time 7 weeks 9 weeks tops!
3. strain cannot be autoflower
with all the different strains and answers given i am going to grow 2 of each indoor to further my research in the process of elimination. during this process i am going to keep a detailed journal (including nutes, medium, lights, all misc, and even water)for the users of rollitup.org to see.
the summer of 2011 i vegged 50 afghani gold clones (picked from the very best mothers) i put them out pretty late (june 20th) the summer in ontario was pretty hot and rain was quite scarce. a week later they were pinched/topped the nutes i used were heavey harvest spring, summer, fall during the appropriate times the medium was pro mix # 4, a few days before the plant stared to flower i lollipoped them as well as trimmed the hell outta the plant (all i really wanted was buds that were worth keeping) all in all the finished product yeilded an average of 8 ounces per plant.BUT they were cut down a week before halloween and they werent done all the way through leaving me with premature weed, and the reason for it being cut down is beacuse it was raing so often and the weather was getting pretty cold (some of the buds were starting to mold).
and thats my story soooo if you guys can help me out it would be much appreciated.
oh and next summer i am going to do 100 plants but not sure how many different strains.

I'm in the same boat as you, the switch to 12-12 happens late in august and there just doesn't seem to be enough good weather to get what you need time and time again. If you don't want a traditional autoflower, then don't get one. Dr. Green thumb developed his Iranian Auto Flower, which doesn't have the normal gene manipulation from what I understand. Super fast flower times and respectable yields make this choice appealing, however the price for beans make it a difficult choice.

You could try Top 44, which is a fast flowering Indica as well.

Just weigh the benefits and potential problems, you can't expect having good weather late into oct in Ontario very often...

thanks nikeforged i will do more reseach on those seeds.
im not too fond of auto flower just b/c from what ive heard and read, autoflower strains dont produce yeilds that are worth the price. now dont get me wrong there may be an auto flower out there that does produce but i just dont see it (3 or 4 week veg and then flower? i dont see half pound dry weight potential)

alright guys i see i got alot of views and only one comment. im gonna share my findings with you guys anyway (just cause there are quite a few views).
out of the 32 top strains of the year (according to hightimes) i researched each one and found the ones that i feel best suits my needs.
1. Strain: Critical+ all seeds will be ordered next week and bred individually just so i can have lots and lots of'em (seeds). after that i am going to actually grow a few of each strain, cut 2
Breeder: Dinafem clones each and flower the mothers. i do this so that i can weave out the best of the best and only grow the best of the best. if any1 has any coments please coment even if its
2. Strain: Jillybean negitive. feed back is always good!
Breeder: TGA Subcool

3. Strain: Pineapple Express
Breeder: G13 Labs

4. Strain: Critical Sensi Star
Breeder: Delicious Seeds

5.Strain: Galaxy
Breeder: Pyramid Seeds

6. Strain: Kalashnikova
Breeder: Green House

7. Strain: frsian dew
Breeder:dutch passion

I was at that stage....planning it out trying to figure it out. I think I'm going with a mix of auto and photo flowering plants. the 12-12 happens in LATE august...and the shit weather can't be relied on much past October 1st.

Northern Lights, Afghan Kush, and Top 44..... are the ones i am thinking about that MIGHT be able to make it

where you going to grow east coast or west. frsian dew is the only on that will go on the east coast. if we have anther rainy season. and if we dont the other strains are going to be very hard to grow outside

I thought as long as it was an outdoor strain that can withstand cold and has an early harvest you can grow on east coast

I had a few years growing in one of the shortest seasons in the lower 48. There are a lot of oldtimers that had genetics proven for the climate. The local growing community can be a great tool if you can break into it. I have also done pretty good with seeds bought online. The couple of kush strains from GHS seemed to do well. Passion #1 from Dutch Passion is incredibly early(end august). Bubblegum did well but was at risk for mold. obliously there is the northern lights which does very well. Another strain I ran was Smile which is a good choice for a quick finishing sativa feel. Dont know some of the breeders for the last couple as i didnt buy them. All mentioned finished by 1st week of october about 70 miles south of Montreal. And as you already know growing till frost always comes with some loss to mold.
