outdoor growth question

vegged outside for 2 1/2 months maybe a few days longer and its been in flower for the better of 2weeks and i have yet to switch to flower nutes which is something i will start this weekend when im off. this particular plant is one i started in a 5gal bucket but when the roots started peaking from the bottom i then planted it in a 3ft deep trench filled soil. i feel as though my plant should be alot larger by now, it was averageing 14 hours+ of sunlight the entire vegg. Does it seem stumpy? How much larger should i expect it to grow?

I remember, yes. I have some in the ground that are 4 ft high and stem is as big as my wrist. Because... those roots were able to travel far and wide. If you aerated the ground all around it would have possibly done the same. But the ground looks pretty solid and they are liking it better in the pot. My potted plants look about the same as what you have there. see pic

In terms of growth being as you are outdoors, you will not get any more because you are flowering now. Instead you may get a bit more stretch but most of your growth is going to be focused on the buds. Nice little tops you got there by the way.

I agree with Diabolical666 ^^^ She's basically still potted and looking like it. And she looks like my potted 3-4 footers. But she's purty and looks like she's gonna have some nice big buds :weed: And as derr mentioned, she'll stretch some, but she won't be growing much more. If you want BIG, next year transplant earlier or start out (if feminized or clones) in bigger pots. And get ready to do some super cropping and LST  Honey, bring me the step ladder and the chain saw please.....LOL

Good Luck :peace:

Thanks for all the great replies! well since its not growing much can i undig it? im havin minor problems with bugs. ive treated it with neem oil the entire vegg and it takes too long for the critters to eat the treated leaves and die. by that time a whole fan leaf is cheese holed with bite marks. As opposed to this other lil darlin i have growing in 7gal of soil (double bucketed and added a third for height to keep away from ground dwelling insects ) i have little to No pest problems with this second plant. Also how much should i expect to yield with these 2? I understand there is no definite answer to this, but im sure theres an approximate window. Thanks for the compliments my first grow and im stoked:weed::clap::lol::peace:

next time just get a bigger bucket, digging a hole in ground and putting the bucket in it is of no benifit.

as far as bugs some trains are just more resistant to them than other, i wouldnt concern yourself with a few bug bites as your growing outside and its expected to happen. watch for spider mites though!! if your treating with neem then you should be fine,

as far as yeild goes its hard saying but i would guess you should end up with at least 4-6 Oz, its still not too late to find some bigger containers and grab some nice potting soil and transplant. just take them right out of the hole, you might get some minor root damage but your going to damage the roots poking through the holes in bottom anyways taking it out of the pot.

to transplant wait till the soil is reasonably dry, with new container ready and bottom filled with soil grab ahold of the base of the plant and pull it right out of that bucket. should all stay together, your not going to hurt the plant.

maybe use the 10 gal next time, a better look at them plants this time and i see the small buds on them so it may allow it to stretch a little but prob wont be much difference.
