hey guys, im wondering which would be more efficient? i heard that coco is a bit more expensive, better drainage. but you have to water more frequently which means more nutrients better growth???

with the hole and fill with soil. some organic home depot soil and some ocean forest. raised beds are necessary?

not sure about coco vs. soil. it seems to me the biggest difference would be cost. soil is putting the nutes in up front and with coco youre going to have to supply all the nutrients as you go. benefit to coco is that you shouldn't have overwatering problems and ive read you can reuse it.

and raised beds aren't necessary but if youre digging a hole, top soil or mulch or sand on top helps imo.

good luck

well sir, I wish I knew the answer for sure. My grow last year (the big 40) was in the cround in rows, not in raised beds, fed all organic, and did very well. Thi9s year, I'm doing only 6 plants, in 200 gallon smart pots using a 50/50 cocoa soil mix, and an going to feed the same organis teas and have the same ammendments that I did last yar, only I will feed 4-5 times a week instead of 2-3......so we shall see!
