Fair enough, but you cant learn if you dont try.I will say this and leave it alone. All new growers should get a few successful harvests under their belts before trying any intermediate or advanced growing methods. Fucking around too much with a simple grow can wreak havoc on a persons confidence as well as threaten overall yield.
If I was posed a question I would err on the side of caution before telling anyone to try something new.
YOU are comfortable with topping so it's easy for YOU to do it. Seems like the OP isn't as comfortable/confident enough to make the decision so I say leave it alone and play next season.

True, true. And ABM has some good points. I can definitely respect his experience. You took this well kaendar, well done. Lesser men here get butthurt when others disagree. Like abm said, he has a healthy bush and topping will delay growth a week or more. I can see how topping at 3-5th node in 1-5 gallons can increase yield but he's much later in the game with many potential colas already going. People top to get to where he got naturally.
Kinda like I was explaining to Kaendar. And I have topped before, I got a few indoor runs under my belt, and I have experimented with topping indoors, as for indoor topping, ive done the side by side test, got 20 GDP plants, topped 10 of them, and didnt top the other 10, grew them indoors, full 8 week of flower, and in the end, each plant had close to the exact same weight .. the topped plants just had more smaller tops,. but the non-topped had one fatter top, same weight.. oh well. but yeah I didn't think I need to top outdoors, and now I'm not going to
