Outdoor first time in Oklahoma.

My last thread didn't seem to get much attention and not quite the feedback I was expecting. Im going to grow this season outside on the bank of a pond. The soil in Oklahoma is red clay though so I think what I am going to do is just dig big holes on the sides of the pond. I dont have any particular seeds picked out yet..but I have told some close friends to save their good seeds if they come across some. I planned on starting the seedlings out inside under some CFL's or possibly just getting a 400 watt from a friend for 200 bucks includes bulb ballast light fixture I can also switch from mh to hps. Im not sure how sure the people are that are letting me grow at their place feel about a grow op inside the house. However the outdoor is def. going down when it gets warm enough. Im wanting to start them inside and put them outside in pots when it starts getting warm enough. When is the best time to transplant them into the ground? Im planning on using a potting soil/perlite/sand mixture to allow for better draining of the plant. Im wanting to dig some pretty large holes though. These people have lived on the land forever and don't plan on moving so hopefully I can grow some monsters. I have nothing planned on nutrients when they have been planted into the ground. Some feedback on that would be great! Let me know what you guys think about the plan flaws, fixes, criticisms is good

good luck man oklahoma sucks (i know) it gets too hot too quick for a good outside grow. if your determined grow the seedlings under cfls for 2 weeks and have them ready for the outside by june first. this will get the maximum time for veg. growth before flowering when fall comes. again good luck
