Outdoor first grow progress (5 weeks)

Last picture is 5th week of veg.
Small pot and next to it are runts. Blue did not like topping at all.
White bucket has been topped at 3rd node then again at 3rd node, removing all lower growth.
Red was topped at 3rd node, 2nd node left on. Topped right after picture was taken on 3rd node of the 4 tops who were equal height.
3rd pot top row was topped at 3rd node, nothing else done.
4th pot is being lst'd into a spiral, was fimmed at 5th growth and again at 7 8 or 9 not sure will double check, the second fim looks like it is producing 5 tops, (he/she is THICC)
& LST of course.

The two big plants in the green pots are ready for potting up to a larger size.

i thought so as well so i transplanted the 1 plant into the white pot last night and it was nowhere near close to being rootbound, next to no roots going down the wall or at the bottom, maybe 2 more weeks.

That is good, you do NOT want to see roots around the sides of the pot. When the canopy is as wide as the pot, so should the roots be. Going from where you are to root bound or deflected roots is a very short journey.
The only time that is kind of acceptable is when it is in the final pot.

Ok, I think I have more of those containers, they are 3.5gal buckets w/ holes drilled.

I just make my own bags out of cheap nursery bags. You don't need the foam inside, Makes it maybe 5% better, but not significant.
Protect the bag from direct sunlight.

Look good any way you could get the in the ground?! Noticed less Transplanting an also just a nice Super Soiled grow spot dug out or a large grow bag or pot helps a lot in my opinion, im learning like everyone else tho! :D

I wish I could have em in the ground but the only place I could plant them is shaded 100%.

You could get a lumens gauge an see if it's still getting enough light even though it's shaded. out here were im at i hve to grow with green screen direct sunlight will burn them but on another note i would trnsplant into the nice 5 gal or bigger soon as possible so you don;t have to keep tranplanting at least a 5 gal buckent gonna get root bond i think?? correct me if im wrong
