Thanks! That pic is indeed the Red Poison, out of the three I have growing that one has the nicest looking flowers. Smells like baby carrots mixed with some skunk, I'm excited to try it. Keep you posted!

I got frost last night too, luckily it didn't rain today but it may still. Looks like they need another week or so but I may have to chop some this week, pistils are mostly orange and a few clear trichomes but it's getting dangerous with the moisture. Unfortunately they are 10-13 feet tall so covering them isn't really an option at this point, so I'll just play it by ear. Good luck with yours!

I'm wondering something, if you are concerned about a freeze for lack of better words, and they are so tall, perhaps you could cut the upper half of the plant off and take indoor to process, then maybe protect the lower half with plastic and a light.
Anyway, growing in the south, I'm not really smart about growing in your weather. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks. What a day. Lol. Just finished the wash on my second plant harvest. Waiting an hour to drip dry before bringing it in to dry room. Got the tarp up in the nick of time as I was running out of daylight. So hopefully it helps the rest of my girls. Here’s the pics I said I’d get up.
the one I’m pretty sure is done. But as mentioned just never flourished like the other 5. So I’ll harvest it soon and take what I can get. The other 3 really perked up, after I thought I lost them. We shall see there state tomorrow.

Surprised to say the least but all 4 survived that frost/light freeze from the other night. 3 of the 4 look as did before the frosty freeze. The 1 plant has perked up a bit but she’s just a total under performer. And I’ll harvest her soon. Take what I can get. With the rains expected today and throughout the rest of the week I’ll keep the tarp up, and the girls dry. With overnights staying around zero to the low pluses. And sun next week I’m going to keep pushing these as long as I can. Maybe I’ll get another few weeks and actually finish. So far harvested 2. No rot to report. The other 4 still looking good upon close examination.

All my plants survived the frost/rain as well, now the sun is shining, it's 12 degrees and the plants are dry (for the most part).

Noticed a little bit of mildew on the lower branches of one plant, and two small popcorn buds with bud rot. I'll be chopping that plant this afternoon, it's the farthest along and has the largest flowers. I cut a bud off and had a look, trichomes look mostly cloudy and around 90% red pistils. More pics to come this evening.

The rest will likely come down Saturday/Sunday, it's supposed to rain more over the weekend and dip below freezing again. Good luck everyone, almost there!

My goal at this point is just ripening. If I can keep them dry, and rot free I plan to push it as long as I can. Only need 2-3 weeks. The cooler temps really helping with resin production though. Looking crazy frosty.

I would like to push for another week but don't know that I'll have the option with the cold temps coming up fast. But definitely helping with resin production, they've gotten much stickier over the last few days.

The blueberry looks like it needs another week or so, but the Red Poison is a "fast flowering" version and recommends 6-7 week flower time. They are at 7 weeks now but two of them need more time, so I'll push them a bit farther depending on the weather. Might get lucky and make it to next week, we'll see how she goes.

5 out of 6 of my plants are “fast version”. I learned this year that it’s all a marketing ploy. “Fast means nothing”. All 7 weeks. First one took 10 weeks. The one I chopped yesterday took 11. At 9 weeks on the other 4. And they 2-3 weeks. Talk about being off. Wayyyy off. Live and learn. I bought them based on our climate. Never again. I’ll search out strains/genetics with grower experience in our climate. I actually was told there’s a strain called Okanogan grape. Known to finish up mid September ish. Don’t be fooled by breeder timelines. There done when there done. Most advice on here is that not much finishes under 10 weeks. I built a awning with a tarp just to push through the rain. Don’t care if they get any bigger. Only care about ripeness.

I don't have much experience with the "fast versions", but this season I grew two different varieties - the Poison and Honey Cream (Royal Queen Seeds). I will say those plants matured faster than others I've grown in this climate, but a single year/grow with them isn't enough to draw any major conclusions. Also agree with finding breeders for your climate, most I've used are central US or European companies with very different elevation/weather conditions and they generally take longer than the recommendations.

I have a few seeds left that I will grow indoors over the winter, I'll see how they do in a controlled environment.

I'm also growing Honey Cream & Royal Cheese from Royal Queen. Neither one will finish before the end of the month. Also growing Quick Critical + which is usually ready middle of Oct. Just picked up 10 more seeds from Hemp Depot.

Nice! I looked at the Royal Cheese but I had just finished growing some Cheese Auto's last round. The Honey cream looks great, one is finished and the other needs another week or so. Good luck!

First of the big Red Poison's down, I would have liked to push it another week but the PM on the lower branches started to spread. Few spots here and there but salvaged 90% of it, and it doesn't seem to have spread to the other plants. This plant is absolutely beautiful, has the most purple flowers I've ever seen and smells amazing. More pics to come!

Also chopped one of my two smaller Honey Cream's, the other needs more time but this one looked ready. It is STICKY, and has super hard flowers.

I have a lot of work ahead of me but looking forward to a busy Croptober. Cheers!

And that's a wrap for the growing season, what a journey this year. Can't say that I want to grow plants that big again but I'm definitely proud of what I produced. And holy shit there's a lot of bud, it's going to be a long month of trimming but I'll be stocked for a while.

I'll post some finished pics and an update of how they taste in the near future. Hope you all had a productive season, I'm looking forward to seeing all your finished product!

Really nice looking haul, buds are beauties that’s for sure. Definitely update us with some total weight.

I’m 2 down, 1drying, 2 more in the dirt coming out Wednesday. This rain has been insane lately!!

Awesome, hope the weather pans out for you. I was lucky and the weather cooperated for the most part, few rainstorms but never more than a couple hours at a time over the past 2 weeks. I was more worried about frost after it dipped down.to -1 C last week but it warmed back up thankfully.

Well that’s a wrap! Harvested, washed, and now the last 2 are drying. Pushed em as long as I could. Aside from a couple days in a week or so of dry trim/jar that’ll do it. Looking forward to final yield numbers from the 5 girls.

First Tropicana Poison is dried and trimmed, ready for storage. Yield was 15oz store-worthy flowers, 13oz of loose but good flowers, and 13oz of larf/trim.

Definitely the most purple buds I've seen, has a powerful smell that reminds me of fresh baby carrots. Taste is decent but still needs to develop, little spicy mixed with that earthy carrot flavor and a little skunk. Also very powerful stone, not couch-inducing but heavy eyes and slow brain.

Very happy with this plant, it looks and smells very different than the other two T.P.s that are still hanging. I'm looking forward to sampling this one again in the coming weeks after it's cured a little bit.

Three more plants to process, as much as I love doing this I'm looking forward to being done for the year lol

Second plant dried and trimmed - Canuk Seeds Blueberry. Yielded around 13oz of store quality buds, 6.5 oz of popcorn buds, and 8.5 oz larf/trim.

This plant definitely smells like some oldschool Blueberry, sweet and mild. Very dense nugs, decent resin production but nothing to rave about. Tastes pretty close to how it smells, sweet aftertaste and pretty mellow. Moderate-strength effects, no heavy eyes or munchies but a good head-stone.

Three more plants to process, I'm close to halfway done and I feel like I've finally made a dent in the trimming now. Looking forward to wrapping this up. More to come, cheers!

Third plant trimmed, Tropicana Poison number 2. Around 10oz of good quality nugs, 16oz of roughly trimmed decent buds, and 12oz of larf/trim.

This is the most resinous plant yet, was a bit of a headache trimming due to clogged scissors every few buds. Very strong, skunky and sweet, way different than the first TP. I smoked a couple and honestly wasn't too impressed with the flavor in a joint, but in the desktop vape it is pretty good. Definitely a strong buzz, heavy eyes and started losing my train of thought immediately lol. This one is mostly destined for the extraction pile I think, it will be a great plant for hash and edibles.

Onto the last TP, it smells f'n dank and has the largest buds of all, looks like the most resinous too. It's going to be a chore but hopefully done by tomorrow morning. Final push, God I'm looking forward to being done trimming lol.
