Outdoor Attempt

Ladies and gentlemen hows it going?, thinking about trying an outdoor grow at a spot a few hours from my house.

Germing some seeds and putting them in cups with my medium.

Waiting a few days then heading to my spot in northern New england.

Planting some sprouts directly in the grond with some store bought soil, and some in 5 gallon pots.

I'll Probably only be able to check on them a few times throughout the year, but theres a creek near by so im hoping they get enough water.

Sound plausible, or just a waste of time? Feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated.

No Advice?

Plant are sitting in a window all sprouted out of the soil. Most 1 to 2 inches tall and beginning to form leaves. I plan on driving a few hours to my location, and transplanting.
Im hoping the drive will not damage the plants and the hours of darkness wil have no negative affects.

Anyone have experience with this?

You could wait until they are just starting to veg. then do it and you'll have better chances of survival. Creek, so you are saying let ground water quench their thirst sounds good how close to the creek.

Theres a creek and some off shout streams that i may try and plant near just don't want to plant in a swamp or anything. Its a three hour car ride. think if i drive slow and and keep them secure theyll make it? work only allows me to head up this weekend.

yah i would grow them about 2 weeks and them transplant into the ground. make sure the ground is plenty moist were your planting. oh and another thing is creeks dont just stay flowing in the same area. they get bigger and your plant could soon be in the middle of the creek drowning. this will happen when it rains which i hear it does alot up where you are. just be careful and try not to plant super dank weed over there cause you dont want to waste your money so i would just plant some schwagg. Also if your planting more than one you dont want a male sprouting up and pollinating your females. This would be very easy if it wanst so far away from your house so you can check on them.

You should be fine cause marijuana grows naturally in places your describing. the only thing you realy have to worry about is pollination.

Agreed Im def gonna make a trip in a few weeks to see if they survived/ determine males from females. Unfortunately can't really let them grow much longer think i gotta head up tommrow as its my only few days off in the next few weeks and i don't want to get started too late.

good luck on that and yah it is getting a little late in season to plant but thats fine... the worst that will happen is your yield will be slightly smaller.

well there up there. seemed to have survived the car ride. had them under lights at night and in a sunny spot during the day. Used straws to keep there stretched stems straight. Hoping for the best and heading up again soon as some of the spots were not hidden enough for when they grow bigger but fine for the babies.

Another thing. Im going to get some grow bags and dig holes at my spot at an abandoned logging site. How big should the holes be to support these things?

went up the other day to check on some progress. They are looking pretty nice at about 4 in each one big one probably at 5 in.

sadly, One was eaten, another was nibbles on

and the rest are pretty well besides ants getting to one

however 2 were dug up and thrown out of the 3.5 gallon pots

any idea what might dig up my plants? I threw them back in and buried their stems. Any chance they survive?

any comments or advice appreiciate
