yea well my RH is pretty constant around 35-45% so no problem there, have a humidifier for the winter/spring as I struggle with 25-35%, not sum thing my veg plants like much, and I grow LSD a strain I found to love Mg, so I have a big bag of Epsom salt at the side of the sink, and plants looked super healthy up until this heat wave (Im in Denmark) when I had 24-27C now I have 28-31C and begin to see curling edges on the leaves, and I don't feed em any right now, fist of I just repot em em in to a 5 and 7 gallon pot with fresh soil secondly I keep em a bit of the T5HOs as I really don't need to grow em much larger before 12/12, just waiting out this heat wave and my flowering plants to finish, much rather have em healthy then have a few inch`s more on em

B166, I didn't know you were rocking LEDs? What are you flowering with?
Root bounding issues makes absolutely no sense to me after seeing your trees in these solo cups. WTF?
The led is just the cheap one from amazon for $39.Its my friends,he couldn't grow mold:lol:so he let me use it.
Its cheap and flimsy.....like adnd-4-lite-brite-300x255.jpg
I flower with thesePhoto02281953.jpgPhoto02281933.jpgPhoto03291507.jpgPhoto03291508.jpg
Makes no sense to me either about the solo cups...lol...it never occurred to me to grow'em out in solo cups, until I came across the competition thread.I guess its just these particular seeds because the others are tall also.
I have one in a 3ltr bottle that I had to scrop,its still almost 4ft tall:shock:...
Photo07101201.jpgPhoto07251047.jpgPhoto07211756.jpg
...they are all about 6 weeks old and have been flowering bout 3 weeks.

Bi66er, do you make your own seeds? It's either that I am a cheap ass bastard or just because I have such a small space, but I cannot seem to bring myself to do anything but a single plant big ass bush :) I just try to get the most out of each plant.

If I had a bunch of space and seeds I would love to do some experimenting.

with that hood of yours (BTW nice DIY handy work) I would for sure do a scrog, no doubt in my mind, keep the hood a few inch`s above and fill the hole screen/hood, instead of having 10% of your plant near the light you will have 90% of it near the plant, atleast the 90% the counts

Ooh yea and I decided to do a little experiment here if anybody have any interest

DSC02392.jpg

my two Veg plant`s getting ready for 12/12 in a week or two

one on the left is in a 5 gallon pot, with a normal organic soil mix with about 20% coco and have been FIM and topped twice and Mlined

one on the right is in a 7 gallon pot, also with a organic soil mix, but as I did run out of soil, it have about 50/50 soil/coco in this final repot from a 3g to a 7g have been FIM and topped once

both are +10 week`s and will flower under the same light

decided to try to flower the 5g plant only using Organic products, Bat guano tea and powder + the usually epsom salt/molasses
and the 7g plant with the Lucas formula (GH micro/bloom)

I will also run my tap directly at PH 7,4 in the organic pot and PH the GH down to 6,5

lets see, got both products, and is curious witch would do best, and one thing I did learn in here, is that the only way to really know is try for yourself so here we go, well in two weeks time

I totally agree a scrog with a few plants or I think I will start growing just 2 plants at a time(I have all kind of side lighting:lol:)....this is my 4th 12/12fs "crop",I thought the plants would all be the same but there always different sizes.....just random mexi-brick seeds ive kept from some of the better bags ive bought.I just thought 12/12fs would work out better for my space but this was the last time.I could do 2 plants and get more yield.

yea grow two big plants to maturity and fill out 2/3 of the screen/space before you flip

in the mean time, flip the light and grow em vertical ;)

I have about 50-60 seeds left of 7 different mexi-brick,just some ol' reggie.Yeah, you are,a cheap ass bastard...lol.I just measured and my space is only 23"inx60"inx60"in(2x5x5)
I like to grow big ass bushes too1114121016a.jpgPhoto03181024.jpg
I basically have been honing my skills on these shit seeds for the past 3yrs.Like you said experimenting.....container sizes, organic vs. non,12/12fs,cfl vs. 250hps....Im ready to order some quality genetics and start using Tiresias.

Really nice fixture. I get some serious heat using 8 cfls bulbs in my seedling fixture.

That's good advice. I was eye balling my wire shelf and thinking about turning it into a scrog shelf (all rights reserved). It will fit right into my adjustable shelf bracket system. Hey Slip, what's a good height to setup the screen if my plants are at 22" right now?

But one pot has 2 gallons more growing space. Apples Apples bro, but I will still vote the organic pot to win!

That's exactly how I started bro, bag seed, but I did it outside more than a decade ago. I think bag seeds are perfect for someone wanting to learn how to grow. You never know what you're gonna end up with, and along the way you have alot of fun. Why spend cash on beans when you're more than likely gonna mess em up the first couple of grows anyways. I think you have a nice learning curve though man. Lots of fun to be had when you're not spending tons of cash having it. I thought I would post my pic of the day. It's some oil i've been working on, and I finally took a test sample today, and WOW! This has got to be the strongest hash I've ever smoked. I'm not from a medicinal state so I either make my hash or pay out the nose when some actually comes around, so as you can see my choices are limited, but I've had good stuff before so I do know the difference.
Would you smoke on this stuff?DSCF0238.jpg Honey candy!! Peace out.

well then about 23" and keep the fixture around 18" above can always move it a bit down to 15" maybe if your plants allow it (be careful I get light burns at 12")

and yes one pot is bigger, but seem`s like the one in the "small" 5G pot is a bit ahead and have more top`s, and a bit more healthy, lets see size is´t the only goal either I will also look at potency, smell, look and over all health and once I smoke it flavor

alright cool. I got the other couple fluros in there. We will see if that helps, probably can't hurt.

Thinking about attaching two more light tubes down the middle under the SCROG shelf once it's installed.

Going out to have one of those big Texas steaks you guys hear about. Later dudes.

look good, I guess you rotate your plants now and then as well ?
Yeah, just figuring out what set up gives me lower temps....btw temps went up 5° to 91°ish:)...cant wait to set up my new lights and start doing 2 plants each rotation.I have to Keep It Simple Stupid....right now I have to water everyday, solos twice a day. When I use my self watering 5g buckets,I don't have to refill but every 4-5days other than I don't even have to open the closet:cool:

Hey I didn't know where to put this so I am putting it here. Anyone know anything about cannabinoids? I mean I keep seeing seeds get stronger and stronger with THC because it is already so active in cannabis, and also, I know they are starting to add CBD and make it more active in some seeds at popular seed banks. But, there are 82 different cannabiniods in cannabis and I am sure some of them are really effective in different ways. I know a lot of research has been going into this as of late, but excluding researchers and the science community, do they have breeders who specialize in this?

A high cbd and thc is cool but anybody go real deep into it? Ill be checking it out; just got the idea, and was just wondering if anyone here knew about this.

I just looked this up they have THCV for example,
Brief:
A psychoactive cannabinoid found along with THC in cannabis, research has shown that, in low doses, THCV will increase the effects of THC (strongly potentiating THC, provoking a heavy, stronger and faster “High”-effect) but in larger doses THCV is believed to oppose the effects of THC. Recent research into THCV has focused on its ability to reduce appetite.

This could be beneficial if breeders tried to increase and tested for this. I've even heard that there are gardening techniques that can affect diffirent cannabnoids differently.

Oh they seem to have cannabinoid profiles on some of the seeds on seedfinder that are real descriptive.

I seem to remember a chart that mapped the different types of cannabinoids and their medicinal values, but then I smoked some and forgot where I saw it.

Great things have happened to my plants since I joined this thread

Had major stretch issues last round (too much N on menu, too full so all wanted to go up, and 17 frigging days to get them to flower... as in merely show sex).

This time, day 6 12/12:

44.jpg43.jpg

Those are both Skywalker Kush, but, checked today, day 7 12/12 and the Chocolate Fondue plants are all girls too :D Fem seeds so expected that but not that fast... 80% sativa according to breeder....

The thing is, I have very limited height, so I'm extremely happy they sexed so fast this time - must be the positive energy from this thread! Thanks, applause for yourself
