I hope so too...
someone needs to set an example video up on youtube of what happened when I caught someone stealing in my backyard....
Like a 3 day torture session...a very graphic one....one that would make the average ripper go....oh shit...
this isn't worth it.
Say with some top ranked MMA star...who grows cbd..

couple people in the facebook comments talk about hanging lots of fishhooks on their plants. You wouldn't need an alarm, you'd hear them screaming... lol

And the thieves will be able to sue and you’d likely face criminal assault charges.

No.
police told me any type of trap or excessive force would see you being charged as well
So you really don't have the right to protect yourself... which is just not right....
I had a buddy with a store and he held a guy who had broken in at gunpoint until the cops arrived and he ended up with more serious charges than the guy who broke in....the whole system is fucked

When I renewed my apartment insurance, we almost went with a new insurance company, but one of the questions on the form was "How many pot plants do you have" or something like that. Turns out they wouldn't even touch me with up to 40 plants, but, they DO cover up to 4 plants by default they said. That was CAA I think...

Yep, seems they have more rights than we do...

I wonder if you could wire your plant up with electric fencing wire? Non lethal, and a nice jolt when they grab a branch...

Actually, it will be interesting to see, this first harvest of the legal era, just how many people get ripped, and how insurance companies react to it, heck, how the police react. It is theft of your legal property...

Trust me they care not...
I was basically told (by police couple years ago )not to worry because next year it would be legal and I wouldn't have to risk growing it anymore. Like medical patients could wait a year ...and obviously its too much risk for anyone to grow it except...their buddies...
Also of the two officers that attended one didn't even want to come in my house because you could still smell the bits and pieces of drying cannabis that the robber left behind and he might get a headache.
