Oscillating Tower Fan

Has anyone here used one of those oscillating tower fans, like this one:

How do they compare to the clip on oscillating fans? I have a very small footprint, the tent is 2'x4'x'5' so a fan with a smaller footprint like a tower fan would be better, but I've just never used one so I don't know how effective they are.

Any suggestions on a specific fan make or model you would suggest for a tent of that size?

Well overkill is ok because my last grow I had to throw out because of mold, so i need that air flowing good. But also I have a vivosun clip on fan and honestly it's kinda shit they just don't put out enough airflow.

My fear with tower fans is that if the plant is too tall, the fan may not reach the top buds.

I also have limited floor space (3x3) and have had pm issues. Since i pretty much have to go overkill with air movement i went with an oscillating tower fan. I made a height adjustable stand that attaches to one of my tent poles. I grabbed one of the electritians junction boxes and a piece of scrap sheet metal off my job site. Works awesome for me.20200427_175507.jpg20200427_175514.jpg

I hung a wire shelf with ratchets to move it. They come on alternately every half hour.
Got a mechanical switch one, it has no lights to cover up and can run off sensors/ switch/ timer.
You can probably put a coffee can over the top of that one to cover the lights.

I was reading another guy who did a similar thing with an electrical gang box last night and couldn't find the pic, so thanks for the pics (I will need them). I think I'm going to try to make some stand but probably stick with standard oscillating table fan cuz now that I've thought it over a tall tower fan doesnt have a place in the planned scrog screen I have to fill the entire tent.

Maybe clip on fans are good but the vivosun one I have is a piece of garbage so that's why I've been trying to find alternatives.

I have 4 short oscillating fans on the floor and one on the shelf. If you are having mold issues i would wager you have a major humidity issue.IMG_4158.JPG
