Oscillating clip on fans

or you could build a little corner shelf that is able to slide up and down the pole with an adjustable clip to tighten it in place, then all you'd have to do is ensure the fan has enough cable to be lowered and raised?

ohhh i got something for that ............in the store they sell Utz preztels in these big plastic barrels ..............get one eat the preztels and use the barrle to fill with sand and put the pole in

This is what I've actually wanted to do for some time, it was my first idea - but really no idea how I could make that.

I really only need this fan to blow some air between my lamp and my canopy to *hopefully* keep temps down. I'm running 400w in a 2x2x5, with a 6" inline for exhaust, the negative pressure is insane, the sides of the tent get sucked in like crazy. LOL But that's without my scrog in there, still working on everything.

if u are running only passive u are always going to have that issue .............look in my journal i posted a DIY filter box for a 6 in 240 cfm booster ..........u can take that and angle it so the vent point is behide/under the fan and the air will do more for u

Buy a pipe clamp or something similar and attach a fan shaped sheet of metal on which you could then rest or clip a fan..... I know what you mean man my temps weren't where I wanted them to be either, but I have a 4x4 and was only using one 4" fan for exhaust and a regular hood, now I have an air cooled hood a 6" high velocity inline fan for outtake the 4" for intake and my 7" oscillator for circulation, wow how naïve I was :P I still haven't worked out a SCROG yet though man perhaps you could help me figure it out? The Dimensions and thickness I mean.

Scrog is easy ...........make a frame in the tent on the frame i take a nail and put one in evry 3 or 4 inches ..........after that u take some masonline and string up one set of rows.........then u tie it off then u string up the cross rows and do one loop over each row u cross............u just made a netting

as the plant grow up u open the netting let that branch tho and then u trim off anything under that netting (since it will get no light ) ....as the top cola grows u do not let it go up u bend it and let the buds shoot up tho the netting

So you use that air box you've made to deal with the negative pressure?

I know how to do a SCROG I was asking with regards to the space I should leave around it for my tent, the thickness of the PVC piping I would need, and also I'd be using chicken wire at 2.5"sq so wouldn't need to bother with the netting. I'd prefer something solid to be able to tie the plants to while training.

Gotcha, I plan on using SCH 20 pipe, it's the less thicker kind. If you want it thicker use SCH 40. I used clothes hanger line.. it's like wire coated with pvc so it's pretty strong and its smooth so it won't cut into the plant or anything.

I already know the amount I need n shit; 8 T joints, 8 double joints and all the pieces in between :P I want to be able to adjust it for a one plant SCROG up to a 4 plant SCROG very easily, hence the joints and extra T's, I'll be giving it a base for added stability.

yes to help reduce it some and to also lower the temps more effectivly ................i now have 2 600 watt hps in one 4x4x6 system
the walls still go in but no where near what they did and with a small opening in the flap the pressure is negivtive but no concave on the wall ...........active air 6 inch 400cfm on maximum (no carbon scrubber)
my tent is a secert jardin 120 pro (so u can see the side passive vents ) .....i have 1/4 open on it with the 240 filter box

the temp is holding steady around 78 (top of planters) the upper lvl at the cooltube vent is 83 (this is about 14 inches above my plants so i am guessing the top cola is about 79 80

my intake is varible 68 to 71 basement central air

then get yourself a wire frame for tomates ..........u can build one in that for one plant

or u make the bottom poles for the stand bigger then the top poles tho they sit inside of it ............then u mark out lvls drill a hole tho the lower pipe.......then as u need taller move it up put a dowel/nail/bolt rod in the hole the inside pole sits on that and the whole thing grows

While we're talking scrogs, do you guys know if I would need air circulation underneath the scrog, where the pot is? I orginally planed on getting 3 fans, 1 for under the net - 1 for under the lamp/above canopy and 1 more that oscillates blowing directly on the colas as they come up thru the net.

Now tho, I don't think I'm gonna have room for all that, I'm having issues with getting 1 fan clipped somewhere so not sure if I can make 3 happen.

sweet man thanks, how much space should I give the tent or could I have it right up to it? How thick roughly is that pipe by the way I don't know if piping is the same here as it is there same as our weighing systems yano.....

2 clip ons....... put em on the poles in your tent...... if you got room for a pole in a bucket in your tent buy a bigger wall mount fan

It is a good idea to have good air flow beneath your SCROG to avoid the dense canopy holding down warmer air which will cause problems with mould and bud rot but some just have it blowing at net height and they got the same results as most I've seen.

Shit.. good idea with the base.. I wasn't planning on adding a base to mine - was just going to add legs and call it a day. I may add a base, I think my area is small enough it would be stable without a base - not sure tho!

Good stuff, good information here for me. I'm running a DR60 so I might use your air box design to help regulate the temps and the side sucking. LOL

I'll be running a 4 plant SCROG more often than not dude it will be adjustable for when I get the Black Affie phenotype of Royal Purple Kush, I will be cloning it and doing a few one plant monster SCROGs if all goes well.
