Glad you stopped by lehua! Yah things are happening I'm just lazy updating I'll post some pics.

Days from seed? Well pretty much everything was planted on April 26 so since then. I've harvested White Widow, some Satori, Trainwreck, and Killawatt out of those tubs. I'll check out your journal too bro :peace:

Satori getting a little purple

Super frosty hydro Satori, going to harvest in about a week:weed:

Satori blowin' up from the Gravity, I think I was a little over zealous with the Gravity and it burned this one a bit but damn bud growth just exploded everywhere!

This is a close up of my not Purple "Purple Lady" She has absolutely ZERO purple at a about 9 weeks now looks about ready to harvest but I'm going to wait a little longer and see if I get any purple . . .

And for the Hijack lovers, I stuck this Hijack outside about a week ago.

hehe...nice bro.....I'll be swinging by in about a week....hehe

So I've been pretty busy lately and have not been on RIU much. My grow journal has gotten through the start of like four completely different grows! I recently got through with a major battle with spider mites. I think it was all the moving of plants and construction. I'm pretty settled into my new space now and have even started my Brick #1 breeding project. So hopefully I should not be such a flake on RIU anymore:-P

I've taken a couple videos of my new set up but I'm not sure how to post them, anybody have any ideas? Videos are way better than pictures :fire:

Hi NewGrowth,

I didnt know you had a journal.
Cool dude, I like that vert idea. The bulb on the bottom is a great idea. Make those popcorn buds into golfball buds eh?
Hows that workin for ya?

Lessons learned:
1. Fill the rez more for small seedlings
2. Don't step on your Ph pen
3. Wash the stupid coating off greenhouse seeds
LOL you are not the only one who steps on a ph pen. Yes sir I agree, it doesnt help at all.

Ok well no idea on the video but I snapped some pictures of the new set-up real quick while I was tending the garden tonight

The veg room has a 400w HPS for mothers and a 300w Flouro for pre-flower. I'm also running an Ez-Clone 30 on a 1 min on 4 off cycle timer.

My mothers are Durga Mata, Pure Gold, and Killawatt. I also destroyed an AMS mother after a serious mite infestation but I salvaged a few clones off of her.

In the back is the start of my Brick #1 breeding project. I'll probably start a thread on it when I'm not so lazy.:bigjoint:

The flower room I turned my tube horizontally and I'm going to build a stadium on either side of the light. Only have one light running right now because I need to run some wire. Both lights will trip the breaker . . .

I've got two Killawatt's about 3weeks in a Super Skunk I'm going to seed with a Thai male and a Hijack at about 7weeks.

That's it for now still a work in progress but it's up an running at partial capacity for now . . .:leaf:
PS-
Cruzer thanks for stopping by man! It's confusing and kind of hard to follow but yah I guess I have a journal  I'll try to keep it more updated from now on . . .

Whats up New Growth came across this journal lookin into dif aero diys and saw your vertical setup, I like it! Your Satoris are lookin really nice my man, I ran some a that next to some chocolope outside this year, they both turned out nice. Did you you get a real fruity sour grape kinda smell in any of your phenos? I got a lot of purple in mine too when the temps started ta drop, the purple ones really had that sour smell!
Anyway did you ever figure out a good way ta drain that vertical or did you jus ditch it and start somethin new? Ive just started usin coco and been doin alot a research on growing with it. I came across a guy on another forum thats doing amazing shit with coco! Yields and resin production are incredible, dudes pushin close ta 3# a light in a flat grow with no reflectors! I was talkin to him about growin in coco and he was tellin me that youll get the best results keeping the coco constantly moist but never soaked and to make sure you dont water enough to even get runoff so you wouldnt need any drainage in that vertical! It doesnt seem right ta water before the surface is dry and not get any run off but the guys results speak for themselves. You ever heard anything like this before?

I had to ditch that vertical set-up because the apartment managers started to complain and put notices about marijuana smell on everyone's doors when I started harvesting often.

I'm in the process of building a stadium using the same light tube you saw in my basement. I also have a second light tube that will probably be used to build a vertical octagon on the other side of my room. I found a good solution for my drainage as well. I've got some special leach trays made for 6" rockwool cubes that will fit my 1 gal grow bags with coco well.

We have also decide to angle the shelves at about 30 degrees on the stadium and try to "over-stack" it so that the canopy almost wraps around the light.

For now though my grow is kind of on the back burner with the holidays and all the other stuff that is going on. I hope to have the stadium running by January and have it fully loaded and harvesting every week or two by February.

As far as coco it sounds like I do the exact opposite as the guy you are talking about and get great results too. I've found the plants like a least 20% run-off when I feed and there seems to be little difference if I water every day or every three just depends on the size of the plant. The medium I use also contains large coco chunks so it holds a lot of water too.

Ok enough rambling, thanks for stopping by man :peace:

The stadium sounds nice my man, you plannin on doing a DIY thread during construction or you keeping this one top secret???Oh yea did you end up with any Satori phenos that had a sour grape kinda smell, almost like the grape big league chew gum we used ta get at baseball games???

Probably no DIY thread for the stadium, just like stairs just going to build risers with a 30 degree angle on each step and use a steeper angle. If anyone has questions after I build it I will be happy to help though.

I had two pheno's with my satori's: One was more tall and sativa dominant it formed large main cola's and smelled spicy almost like good indian food. The other pheno was a higher yielder and had an even spicier flavor and smell, it was shorter had a smaller main cola but had lots of branching with pretty large secondary cola's. The larger cola satia dominant cola was also so dense that I got a little bit of bud rot and probably lost about 1/4 oz of bud.

My total yield just off the two satori's I had in soil was close to a QP per plant weighing in at about 7 3/4 oz. My plants were also hit hard by spider mites late in flower so I'm very impressed by this Mandala strain and want to pick up some more seeds.

The high is also very good, it is a very strong up sativa buzz that will just keep getting you higher the more you smoke. The smell of the dried product is also some of the strongest smelling pot I've ever seen too.:weed:

So a friend came over with a crazy ass camera that can take some really badass pictures. I couldn't resist:fire:

These are Killawatt about 3 days or so before harvest, the flush turned the leaves a nice purple:hump:
