So this is how my Mainline vs Scrog is coming out.... Got to flip the mainlined CheeseQuake yestday. maybe not quite a week earlier then ill flip the scrog. So... one, that means the mainlining, at least for 16, was faster for me my 2nd time then my tried and true scrog training. That being said, who knows what the extra week veg will do for the scrog. Im just going normal for her, so we'll see what happens.
Trying a little different shape with Mainlined colas. Some branches were longer than others, so id had to bend some down a little to get and even canopy against the ring. Hopefully all gos well. Experiments non stop, lol.

scrog vs mainline = awesome experiment. By my count your scrog has substantially more growth tips seems like it's probably gonna win the yield contest of course the mainline easily wins for prettiest It would seem like doing a circle you're wasting a lot of lumens in the middle of the circle (?) compared to the scrog too... it'd be funny if mainline won anyway I must have missed your previous posts on this... I assume those are cuts from the same plant?

Yep. clones taken the same day, same everything the whole way. You get the idea that the scrog has this one in the bag from the looks huh? but im thinking it will be more of a race then one may think first off. I actually dont know whats gunna happen! haha. But i will be kind of letting cola angle out as they grow, so the whole side of each cola with had direct light exposure... thinking this will be a contributing factor.

My 32 head Mainlined Misty took up a chunk less space in her tent then many scrogs ive done. But...
I Got 210 grams from her - aka 7.5 zips Best tent run yet, and i know she can be beat.

Another factor to consider is if the mainline is 1 week faster, 4-6 harvests/year = 4-6 weeks extra time, almost enough for a full extra flower. The mainlines could produce bigger buds that equal out to the scrog yield too if the buds are smaller there due to more colas... luckily we have this experiment to see

saaaawheeeeet!.....you killed it bro....here are a few thoughts....KILLER EXPERIMENT BTW!

compare the overall "bag appeal" between the ML and scrog......i bet the ML is better.....(because the energy distribution, and the light exposure is better on the ML plant, the bud consistency is better in overall nug ripeness which makes for better bag appeal, and lets face it, consistent ripeness means consistent potency....)

compare the overall trimability of the two plants....i bet the ML wins hands down

be sure to compute your overall flarfy bud % in your experiment, i will bet the ML plant will be much, much lower.

but the best part is you will be able to move the ML'ed plant in and out of the tent, and rotate it etc. to fit the footprint.

...and the overall air flow will be far superior in the ML tent.....

Touchè! I'm sad that you wished that I wasn't the last person to speak. My role "mentor" turned on me~!!!

I guess when it gets down to brass tacks I'm a quality over quantity guy too (beings that I only have 2 plants in flower at any time) but I do like those plants to give me lots of lovin' like I do them. My plants look great by the way.
