HEY this is don Juan with my newer organic indoor grow. I have some extensive experience with indoor hydro on larger scales, but this is my first smaller indoor soil grow. I have a degree in agriculture so this is one of my passions.
I decided to do soil rather than hyrdo for the ease of setup and the organic way with beneficial microorganisms. Also I want to be able to leave for a few days without having to worry about pumps and clogged drippers etc.
So here is a basic description of the grow:
Contained in 4x8 tent
2 1000w digital HPS (air cooled) (enhanced blue spec)
435 cfm blower-- vent into attic
550 cfm charcoal filter
2 4x4 trays with 16 plants and 25 respectively
3 GAL square pots
fox farm ocean forest with great white mychorihizae and high phosphorus guano
oscillating fan
One tray (16 plants) of widow and headband is about to be harvested and the other tray (25 plants) of mostly purple is 4 weeks into flower. I vegged the widow and headband for 3 weeks so they got kinda big.
The purple was vegged under t5 cfl for a week. So you can see that they are the smaller plants.
My goal is to be harvesting one tray per month, and I am switching both trays over to 25 plants, as this is more efficient. Let me explain myself: SOG
After my first two harvests i will calculate the grams per Kwh to compare efficiencies.
The purple pineapple kush is a crazy strain that is like grape ape but with kush in it. This strain was developed by a friend in my hometown and is actually not even supposed to be in my possession, as noone is supposed to grow it . I got my hands on a few clones so i'm stoked. I have tried to look it up it is nowhere to be found.
What does everyone think about harvesting by the look of these pictures? Id say mostly ripe maybe a day or two more. Today is day 60 of flowering.
You can see some mite damage on the white widow, for some reason neem oil and lady bugs just isn't cutting it. I think predator mites must be ordered monday.
Any questions or comments are much appreciated.
