Organic vs. hydroponics

So, a friend and I are both starting closet grow rooms and im going drip hydro and he decided he wants to go organic...

Basically i just want the pro's and con's from more experienced growers because i feel that all the advantages with the exception of the obvious advantage of being organic lays in the hydro side of growing

soo pelase feel free to put in your 2 cents...thanks!!:peace:

hydro grows faster than soil/soiless/organics...some say organics have a better flavor...

i personally think hydro is a little easier to grow with..

organics if done right needs little maintenance...hydro needs constant ..

hydro is for a 2nd or 3rd time grower. with indoor grows you have to control your environment organics i think is better if grown outdoors compared to indoors. i think you can grow a better yeild with hydro. and organics isnt too much to maintain its all about the nutes you use. an organic grow pretty much takes hardly any attention. hydro is a little more complicated so it takes a little more effort but more rewarding

see thats what i was telling him, however hes convinced that theres no proof out there that hydro actually grows plants faster or with better results..i guess we'll jsut have to see at the end of our grows

What's the saying, "Soil for show, Hydro for dough"?
If you have the right strains then you can really outperform soil with hydro.

If I was growing for money, I would run something like the "Blue Dream", a hundred at a time and only veg to 7-8 inches.

Bada Bing, Bada Boom :hump:

I prefer Bubba Kush, but that is a slow grower, kinda tricky.

Also soil is more forgiving with mistakes. :joint::peace:

I'm on board with everyone else. Hydro offers outrageous growth rates but requires quite a bit of maintenance and testing equipment. Aeroponics is the pound for pound botanical champion. There's a reason why NASA uses it... other than zero gravity.

Organics, when done properly, are well renowned for producing the best taste and high. A good organic system usually incorporates several ages of composted materials and a variety of microbes. The use of an organic tea can cause huge improvements.

Both systems are fine, each with advantages and disadvantages. I think that someone growing for themselves should use both systems. Hydro for the quantity and Organic for the quality. Best of both worlds.
