I've been watching you... All of you. Like a sponge I have sat at the bottom of this abyss of knowledge. You inventors, creators, horticulturalists, hobbiests, spiritualist, revolutionists, tinkerers, fittlers, growers and dreamers have drowned me in what I filter and have added to my own library of unpricreable wealth of ingenuity. For years I have read everything I could get my eyes to focus on, but never a word or mention I was ever there. But now it's my turn to see what knowledge I can bestow upon the masses. What I most look for is the criticism that will help me sow a seed unbeatable in its own right. Criticism is neither good nor bad only an option based on an alternate perspective, and I welcome that. This is my first posting I hope you enjoy. And I hope I inspire those who sponge knowledge like I did to write their own posts to show different and new experiences.
I am a simple man. I don't watch what I eat, I tinker (and by that I build hydroponic systems to see if I can get it to work), my mind and body are rarely in the same place (daydreaming), and I love to grow- organic. I have followed Subcool since like 2010, which when I say it sounds like last year till I realize it's been 4. I am by no means good at growing yet nor am I awful, my knowledge and practice aren't really lining up. I've had about 6 harvests with moderate product being the best. I seem to have a highly unlucky cycle. I digress, Subcool's supersoil has been my prime resource for soil. I always build my own soil using his recipe. I check for updates regularly in fear of missing out on the latest change to add power to my grow. For my first 3 runs I ran it by the book recipe but recently I started swapping ingredients for others, I researched, that do similar tasks and adding things that I have been informed are beneficial, i.e. Kelp, crab, and alfalfa. Coincidentally Subcool already updated using those so I felt better doing it then saying I was on paper. This is my grow lets get to it.
-I have 2 1200watt MarsII LEDs in a 10x5 lighthouse grow tent
-exhaust fan is ~395 cfm hydro farm and intake is a simple 45 cfm booster fan using a dust shroom for clean air
-I use an Ipower carbon filter and two htg supply 16"oscillating fans
-I have a co2 tank but I'll just use that for flowering why waste it when it's unnecessary
-I'm working with 18 3 gallon mad farmer fabric pots
-there is also a office humidifier and a humidity and temperature reader I placed in the room
Pictures will come if there seems to be interest taken in my grow.
You can call me papa if you choose or swift. I'm it older than 25 that's just part of my last name and swiftkillpapa is kinda a gaming handle I've had since I was 16
