i need to get me some comfrey seed. any particular varieties you like @greasemonkeymann ??
DO NOT GET SEED!!

The 'wild' comfrey is extremely invasive and all comfrey is next to impossible to kill. What you want is Bocking 14, a sterile variety that stays put, but extremely easy to propagate. You buy either crowns or chunks of roots and plant in a permanent location. They don't do all that well in pots long term, but Ok for a time while you figure out their 'forever' place in the yard.

My main worm food is comfrey and coffee grounds. You can cut it at ground level and it will be ready to cut again in a month. It grows that fast.

"Land Kelp" is a very apt descriptor. GMM will attest to the same.

well I got a regular (invasive) type one, and the local homestead shop had fresh ones, I love that place...
but mine was a tiny one, and it grew verrrry quickly
but if you plant in the ground you'll want the bocking one, so it doesn't take over
the soil we have is almost pure clay, so I dug up a hole and put it there, and the clay keeps it stay put, but if you have good soil, it'll go nuts, and you probably don't want that.
although for erosion control I imagine i'd work amazing.
but be SURE you want it, where it is, cuz after that it's nearly impossible to eradicate

Guys question I was making a basic compost tea and its foaming crazy like I've never seen before. Haven't done anything different, could that be caused by the fact it's snowing???

Maybe too much molasses? Yucca & coffee also make it extra foamy. Better to add those at the end when it's done brewing.

Ok, I see what you're saying; let me clarify...
Molasses should be added early for the microbes, as you stated. Yucca, coffee, and anything else that tends to get foamy should be added right before the tea is used.
