This last year has been the year of gnats. I was growing in ebb n flo table with coco pellets and grow stone. The gnats were sick. I used organacide and Dr Fosters Microbe lift. It has a strain of bacteria that keeps the pupae from becoming juvenilles from hell. It worked but I had to hang sticky traps and apply organacide every three days to top of media. The fuckers even went into my mother that is in a deep water culture with hydroton. They don't like that as much as the organic materials. I also noticed they don't like the sure to grow either. They will crawl on top for second or two then fly around and try to go back and leave again. I was wondering if there is a product that will kill the eggs and the adults that is organic or that can be easily wahsed off with little or no toxicity. Do gnats like rockwool? I have butterhead lettuce in rock wool and I don't see them in there at all and I thought that was odd. I found another product made from mums and the guy says it great, any info? I think it is called preen oil or extract. Anyhow any help with the gnats is appreciated. I have tried so many things and I want my next grow to go a little easier. These warm winters suck. No moisture issues in soil around house as all is turned off for winter freeze. My house plants don't have em either. My girls are in grow tent in garage no moisture for up to an acre or more away and that is my neighbors horses. They have to be the breeding point
