My cherry pie is coming down tomorrow, Starting in the early am. I only found 4-5 tiny spots of rot, and the occasional worm. I harvested them last year on the 10th. With the much improved weather over the summer and a few extra days in the ground, the end product should be wonderful. I can't say the same for the other two. The headbanger is not handling this stage of the weather very well. Rot and now PM are becoming a little problem. I'll be cutting it down after the cherry pie for fear of more loss. I've cut all the bad shit out hopefully. I'll catch whatever I've missed on the trim. The BB is still lagging, not sure of exact reason for the long delay in flowering. I Have 2 other friends running the same cuts and theirs are moving along much quicker. I'll chop it at some point after the other 2 dry.

A true love/hate time of year for me. Aiming for that finish line.
My hands and neck hurt...can't catch a break._DSC0775-crop.JPG

Having to chop most everything early because of spots of botrytis. Not to awfully disappointed, everything is still fairly potent with Getaways strains. No bud worms so far, my weekly spraying of neem during veg and couple shots of BT during flower have worked wonders this year.

Just finishing trimming up the first Poison Warp and took a break to checkout the Island Afghani. Been a few days so I started digging around some of the larger tops.... fuck here we go again, found small spots of botrytis in at least half of them. Off with their heads..._DSC0702.JPG _DSC0782.JPG
The Poison Warp is the closest one to being done...nice daytime buzz.
Now onto the Afghani hanging in the back.._DSC0783.JPG _DSC0786.JPG

After 12 hours of hard work today, I got the cherry pie taken down. It's half trimmed at the moment. I'll be back at it again tomorrow to finish it up. It's pretty perfect in my opinion. It filled out really nice, and the color and smell are amazing. My next two weeks or so are fully booked up with cutting, trimming, drying, jarring, and then another month for burping each. Oooooooh man my back is killing me. 20171012_205526.jpg 20171012_205555.jpg 20171012_142012.jpg 20171012_150009.jpg

Pretty much lost my BlueDream to Bud Rot, such a shame. I trimmed what I could see but after I drying it, I would crack open a bud and it would look brown in some parts of the stem. My gut feeling is that I wouldn’t. Smoke it therefore I wouldn’t let anyone else either. I’ll have to pick apart and thoroughly inspect each little bud if I want to slavege any of it, and feel Comfortable about smoking it.

On another note, Here is the finished product of the orange bubba. Pretty happy about that!

That's no good man. I had to do the same to my headbanger. It was too far out from its finish date and I was combating rot for a couple weeks. I said screw it, and pulled down the biggest tops and cut through it to get the best buds. Dried it and filled two jars, the rest was all chopped and dried and will be thrown in for oil. So in the end, for that plant I managed somewhere around 2 lbs. I didn't care for the smell, or look of it very much. Too much sour diesel scent came through. I'll have a ton of oil here in a few weeks though.

Haha, yea without even knowing anything about it my dad said it smelt like laundry detergent, maybe that was from potassium bicarbonate I sprayed a 2 or 3 weeks ago. I didn’t care for the look or smell of it either. it’s a dark green, brown, and bits of purple. Once it’s dry it’s really hard to tell where the bud rot is. Hey you live and learn, that’s what makes growing fun. They were big buds, and didn’t show big signs of botrytis, however is was pretty much everywhere. I’ll do a scrogg next yearso I can get to the buds and be able to keep a better eye on what’s going on. As well as better preventive measures.

Do you cure with the humidity packs mixed in?

Edit*
I didn't think of the possibility that this is already finished curing.

I’m testing out curing with the 62% humidity packs, I still open the bucket daily, and I cure all of the same strain together in buckets with a sealed lid.. My thought process is that I won’t have to worry about too much moister. And it will allow an even, stable, dry, throughout the process. (Each plant gets its own bucket)
