That's my plan with the snowdog, except I'm not gonna take cuttings until later, going to grow out the original seed plants. I'm matching up the light hours to outside light hours for early june, to minimize stress as well. So lights out from 10pm until 6ish. So I guess about 18 hours of light.

Received my order today and am most pleased w/ the shipping, packaging, quality, and quantity it has.

I'll revisit later to keep all abreast of further experience, but the beans are all just fine as far as initial viewing.

Let's flesh out this thread with our experiences w/ the grow, vitality, final product of our OGS endeavors to help out the (fellow) newbie that wants to explore what's available stateside from a fellow grower!

I grow the blue snowdog, doesn't seem like much of a yielder but does turn purple and smells good but I only have three grows under my belt and am getting used to led. So I'm still learning. Beautiful plants though about to chop one as we speak

My blue snowdogs are just above soil and shed the seed pod. My OGOG and CBC are up to 1.5 hours of darkness and haven't started to flower. I 'm gonna increase half hour every 4 days or so until 18/6 and if they don't flower then they'll be going out to the hoop house end of april/early may.

I have four strains. Donkey kong, blue snow dog, oregon green, and rocket chunk. Will be doing both indoor and outdoor grows. Plan to take clones from all for indoors. Have nice outdoor garden spot. Will be doing grow journal soon.

I'm pretty late to this party but figured I'd chime in because I really liked the service Oregon Green Seeds has given me.

I grew Mastodon last year. 9 of 10 seed germinated and I ended up with 6 females. Cut the crop to the legal four and had a pretty good harvest. Plants were between 6 ft and 10 ft tall, between 4 and 8 feet wide. I started seed Apr 15, put starts in ground May 15 with a cold frame around them to keep warm and away we went. No pests, no problems, really. The flowers could have used another few weeks when I harvested last week of Sept and again second week of Oct. The last harvest had some bud rot but it was localized and easy to cut out.

Got a little more than 6 pounds of dried, trimmed, cured buds and another pound of smaller light buds. Flavor is nice -- spicy and sweet tasting when smoked through a bong or the first puffs of a joint. High is a little speedy, I think because I had to harvest early (rain, rain, rain for those that weren't living on the western side of Oregon at the time). But potent and popular with friends. I had no trouble giving away my excess.

I'm trying something different this year and so am not growing other seeds that I already have in hand from OGS. Maybe next year.

I'm growing several OGS strains outside this summer -- Amnesia Hashplant, Willamette Valley Pineapple, Dream Catcher, and Cheri's Gift (a high CBD strain). I bought a couple of others that I'll probably try indoors next winter (Forgetful Cindy and Double Diesel).

For a summer outdoor I only need one of each, so I started 3 of each because in the past I've had 100% success having at least one healthy girl from 3 seeds. Only one of the WVP's popped, so I hope that one is a girl. 2 of 3 AH and DC popped, and all of the CG. That's the worst germination percentage I've experienced, but I've only been growing from seeds for a couple of years, so it's possible my technique is flawed and my other grows have been lucky. I started them 4/24, put them into 1g pots on 4/29, and they will go outside tomorrow (5/18 ).

At the end of last year's outdoor my intention was to build a greenhouse this year, but our priorities shifted. Then I thought I'd do light deprivation to try and avoid the cold/wet/windy fall weather we get here, but those plans changed too. So, I guess I'm hoping these strains are as hearty and fast to flower as advertised, because I'll be at the mercy of NW Oregon/Gorge weather one more time.

Here are some pics, they just went outside yesterday to harden in dappled light before getting into full sunlight.

At this young age they are already distinctive enough to tell apart, which is nice, because I had one that was not labeled. There were four seeds that did not pop, and I kept them damp in case they were just slower than the others. About two weeks later I carefully pealed open the Rapid Rooters, and found that all of them had at least started to pop. So I carefully put the RR's into 1gallon pots and gave the room to grow. One of the four did. When I put the late germinators aside initially, there was no way to keep their markers so I lost track of what they were. But, looking at them today, I'd say my little late starter is a Willamette Valley Pineapple, and I'm very happy about that. With at least two of each I have a decent chance one is a girl (I like the odds better with three, but we work with what we have).

I name the ones I'm uncertain about as either 60/40, or UL,ML. That is un-labeled, most likely. Also have a few tray jumpers when I don't have a strong feeling one way or the other as to strain. I planted a handful of UL,ML Rotten Stinking Bastard this week.

Long overdue promised update:

I've been very happy with mine as the 1st purchase of Amnesia Hashplant, Lily Koi, and Sugar Cookies are going on 2 years from pop now with Donkey Kong and Cindy's Bleu Cheese over 1 yr. after finding the right phenos to keep.
Was visiting the site recently and it seems (along w/ a price hike) that DK is no longer available so those that like it might do well to do a little breeding of their own.

All varieties should probably go a week or 2 more than the described flowering time (~50 days) to get the full effect, but check those trichs for the perfect harvest if you are outside of latitude of the breeder.
Smoke descriptions from the sales page have proven true across the board but SC seems the most crowd pleasing.
1 variety of DK had small output but was FIRE and saved for private reserve.

AH and SC will spontaneously sex if given stress (underwatering) but everyone else is rock solid until flip. Last years harvest garnered 3.5 lbs. from 12 pygmy plants (tallest @ ~4') planted from May thru late July.

This year I popped some more and only had 1 not sprout (CBC) from 2-3 of each variety and I still have @ least 5 beans of each in reserve.

Each clones well and has gifted me a beautiful bounty (75+) to go out this summer and hopefully quintuple last years haul and some unknown crosses (LK + CBC + SC + AH) from the spontaneous sexing during male grow out are waiting in the wings to be tried for a shot next year.

Overall, very pleased with the offerings of this breeder and glad to see others have had the same experience!

I didn't realize DK and CBC were OGSC gear until I saw your post. I ran a few Donkey Kong X Cindy's Blue Cheese crosses in my Spring crop. I started out calling it Fromage d'ane, but that soon got translated to Ass Cheese. Spring crops are never good to judge a strain by, but from what I saw, I'm going to like it a lot.

Also have a DK X Grapish Bag Seed that is real nice. Tons of purple. That is Gorille de Raisin.

Both sets of seeds were made by a buddy when his DK turned out to be a male late in the game. He did a little pollen painting, and I reaped the rewards. {seeds and flowers} I wouldn't mind trying some of their other gear. The CBC and Grapish BS flowers my buddy gave me were top notch smoke.

@Fogdog and @choomer -- great reviews!!! I hope others will add more.

It seemed like for a while OGS was the only seed provider I could find that specialized in mold resistant short flower time strains. Now with Getaway Mountain Seeds we have more options, which I think is good for growers, and with more states legalizing there is room for more seed providers.
