Oregon BBQ....August 21st, 2017
We need to have this Oregon BBQ on August 21st, 2017. A full solar eclipse is going to take place on this date in the pacific northwest. This is a very rare event and in my 50+ years of life, I've never seen a full solar eclipse. I'm making the trip to Oregon (near Salem according to the map on the link posted below) to view this event (bucket list). The 21st is a Monday, not the best day for a BBQ, maybe a 3 day event? You Oregon boys find a spot on the eclipses path and lets make this happen.

Just make that a Sunday and Monday weekend. Weekends can be any days. Working for 4, 5, 6 week hitches away taught me that for sure; I would usually have a solid month of weekends :) at least.

we can be anywhere for an event lol. its always a weekend around here when growing is all ya do

If August 21st is the proposed date I can check to morrow to see if I can get that date reserved at my parents house. As per Doublejjs advice there is a private campground right close to me as well

If It's going to be in the Wilamette valley I've got some options for sure. If people are down to make this happen then I will do a lot of the legwork.

I've really wanted to be a part of a greater community of growers who operate in this quasi legal state. RIU seems to be heavy on the Oregon growers in the outdoor section and I'd love be for us to be able to get together and share cuts and seeds and break bread together. Every morning I wake up and fully feel how privileged I am to run a garden in this state and if there are others out here who live this all as much as I do, then I think we should do it. I've got kids too so I'm down to make it a family function as well. To me it would be such an honor to meet growers in or state like @Doc's Dank Seeds and if people like @treemansbuds are willing to make the journey it would elevate it even higher. I'm a weed nerd and not on some subcool shit. I really look up to some of you cats and what you do and to have the chance to break bread with people who feel as strongly as I do about this would be awesome. People get on here or PM me if you are serious.

You should be thinking about making the cali fall bbq where all the good growers will be .

And I have seen solar eclipses.
Not such a big deal . You should stare at the sun , it's good for you .

We all ready have some with flowers and most are in the stretch with the exception of a few strains . By mid August we should be pretty well on our way .
