Ordering supplies online...NEVER AGAIN!

I ordered a Nextgen ballast thru R & M Supply and it arrived within a week. However it wouldn't stay lit, so after spending ~$300 on a ballast and digilux bulb, I had to send it back. I sent it back 2 day express which cost me $45 but I was told they'd match return shipping so I figured id have my new one within a week. Well they received it on 1-22, didn't get a replacement until 2-21. And to top things off...guess who delivered it? My fuckin neighbor who I don't know very well at all!!! It would have taken some research (google) to figure out who randm supply is, but it scares the hell out of me. So pissed...fedex guy is incompetent, CAP/R & M supply had horrible customer service. Should have bought locally, would have saved me money, worries and stress....next time I'll spend 2 hours in the car instead of being lazy. Just hope I don't get my ass raided. LESSON LEARNED! Haha

Ive had great luck with R&M and cap and some bad luck with htg supply so go
figure. As for fedex its like all corporation that hire low paid worthless enployees.
I wouldnt worry about the neighbor, theres a shit losd of people that just grow
natural veggie type produce. dont stress man

HTG works well for me too and has exceptional Customer Service. They usually deliver(for me) within 2 days. Supplier is only a state away though. Good luck next time.

Ive done a bit of online ordering and never had major problems, did get one package (light, ballast, hood) where they sent me the wrong hood but I didnt really care since I was not really planning on using it (backup).
BUT
I ALWAYS go into my local store (great place, almost warehouse size) and see how close they can get me to online price out the door. Pretty much everytime they come back with a quote about 5-10% higher then online but with no shipping which brings them right about the same, not having to deal with shipping and return shipping should it come up is worth the extra few % I end up paying plus those guys love my biz and its always fun to shoot the shit with the guys.
Support local when you can, outsource when you can't. That being said Ive gotten them to order quite a few things they dont normally carry because they are low cost versions of high markup hydro store goods, you just have to have a rep with your store guys and the'll do almost anything to keep you comming in.

Ive got a high quality shop in the area though, your results may vary.
