Optiminal Time to Induce Flowering?

How old should the plants be when I start the 12/12 cycle in order to get the highest yield for the shortest amount of time? What I mean is I obviously don't want to be in veg for 2-3 months but don't want to flower at only about 1 month growth and get small yields. Still confusing? Maybe I should say, what's the average time from sprout to flower for a good yield? :) Yeah, that'll do.

Also, when in flowering how much do plants continue to grow? (double? triple?) Thanks!

to answer your ? its best to start at anywhere from 9-12 inches and up. depending if you have good light venting and all that cause you could flower it at 2ft and get a crappy yield. but if you want your bud pretty soon flower at about 9 inches and make sure those buds get good light and youl will get a good yield but also it depends on strain cause some dont yield alot and some do. but most of it is your plants enviroment cause thats what is the most important thing to it, and for you to get the average yield of that plant the plants enviroment has to be right on the money. and yes your plant will double or maybe tripple in size depending on the situation and strain. some dont grow very big at all and stay around a foot at max size. hoped tht helped:blsmoke:

it all depends on your lights and nutrients and a few other minor things

yeah i agree.. and it is not ONLY plant HEIGHT but more importantly, the number of nodes your plant has that should determine when you flower.

considerations.

1. lighting
2. plant health
3. number of plants
4. lighting :)
5. clone or not

I have attached some pictures from a book that shows the day by day life of a plant that was flowered on day 16 (grown from seed)... with only 16 days of veg, this plant produced 3+ ounces of chronic... great book that shows you exactly how to replicate this 3 pant grow that yielded 8+ ounces. Thanks guys, means a lot. I decided I will flower at 35 days then. That sounds like it should yield a lot. Also, I'm using blueberry and bagseed so I don't know about the bagseed, but the BB has a large yield from what I hear.

Thanks a lot guys! Cheers!

i didnt say you only go by plant height but most average pot plants can be flowered at 9-12 inches cause by then they should have plenty of nodes unless they were grown in bad conditions and stretched or are a really stretchy sativa strain. ive had plants that i flowered at like 6-7 inches and they had like 10 nodes on them cause of no stretch and sufficiant lighting. then when you tell them how many nodes they need they say what are nodes lol.
