Optic LED Differences

In layman's terms what is the difference between the three Optic LED models. I understand the wattage but why are the Cree lights more expensive than the Vero? What's the trade off of going with one over the other? Additionally, what would be the best spectrum choice to grow from seed to harvest? Thanks

Efficiency is about the only difference, and only marginally at that. The CXA and the vero are about tied if they're using V2 vero's. The CXA is more efficient if they're using v1.2 veros. The CXB is the latest and most efficient available. Not much trade off or benefits, the CXA is the older version of the CXB.

3000, 3500, or 4000k, there are no clear cut winners. There is no 'best' since each spectrum will yield slightly different photomorphogenic responses. As to what those responses are and to what degree it changes is still hotly debated.

From what little research I've done lately I'm considering the Optic as well. Seems to be the best game in town right now.

Ive got one. Supra turned me on to optic back in march. Im pleased i made the purchase.
Which one did you get and what spectrum? I'm just needing to do one plant at a time so I'm looking at the 200. Haven't settled on the spectrum yet though.

Since completing a run with both the Vero 360 and cxb 200 I feel the cxb lamps enhance the trichome production a bit more, .02 :D

Do you think that's because of the 60 degree lenses on the CXB, compared to the 90 degree lenses on the Vero?

I looked quickly at the spectrum of both and the are very similar with a little more blue in the 3070cxb

Hmm, interesting. My optic runs yielded danker tighter buds than my blurple runs but not more frost. Soon as my 3590s get here the lamp will be composed of 4-3500k 3590s and 4-4k vero29s.

Really looking forward to getting some ladies under this setup. More frost would be excellent but more even coverage was my primary goal.
