would this site be legit Opium poppy seeds - Papaver somniferum for sale? which variety would be the narcotic?

the relevance of your benelovance is evident.

One opium plant will yield anywhere in between 10 - 100 milligrams.
Let's say you were an experienced grower and can yield 50 milligrams per
opium plant.
Well, 1000 milligrams equals 1 gram. Which would mean you would have to grow 20 plants to get 1 gram of opium.
You would have to grow 480 plants to get 1 oz. of opium.
You see where this is going......just forget it.......and stick with weed.

i'm pretty sure any opium poppy has the potential to yield a narcotic. and that's probably why the site says "We do NOT offer opium poppy seeds for sowing purposes. Purchasing signifies that you agree not to plant."

correct, any papaver somniferum is an opium poppy.... completely legal to grow from what i understand.... what makes it illegal is when you cut the pods... people grow poppy all over america in their flower gardens... really beautiful plants... but as someone else said, the yield is way too low per plant to make it worthwhile to grow for opium.... at least here....

so the sticky secreation would do nothing to me if i were to soak some bud in it?

the sticky secretion is opium latex (raw opium).... it is just in such minute quantities that you wouldnt get enough to do anything much... unless you planted a shitload....
