Opinions on trimming fan leaves on autoflowers

I have noticed the huge fan leaves are restricting light to alot of the new undergrowth on some of the ladies. Now under normal circumstances with a regular photo plant I would simply remove the odd leaf. Is this a wise idea with autos ?

They are currently 3 weeks old . Half indica dominant and the rest sativa dominant.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Lower flowers are typically weak anyways, it doesn't make sense to cut foliage off for more light exposure. A better option is to harvest and sever the top third of your plant, then lower your light to fatten up buds that haven't filled out yet.

The plants are only 3 weeks old the undergrowth i am referring to are potentially bearers of big buds (colas).
However overall verdict is let them be so lesson learned and I may just look at the lst option instead.

This is my method as well. But i use that with photos. When i grow autos i dont cut anything at all. I harvest the whole plant at once.

I like to LST with fishing weights. It lets you open the plant up and get huge buds on all stems. Or you can tuck the fan leaves but dont cut em.

I was going to attempt to use the weights to lst today but I think iv left it too late. The stems are a bit thick and firm now so I don't want to risk damage.

Maybe next time :)
