so i have grown out some clones for 2 months and i unforuantly can not flower them at this time(relized that about a month ago). so i have decided to turn them all into clones. from the top of the plant to the bottom i plan to clone(destroying the plant/resetting the process). this is my first run and i dnt wanna lose the strains i have aquired...i found the method on buildasoil.com. lmk what yall think and if this is safe process for my gurls...as always happy growing and peace!

If they are still vegging they can just be kept to become mother plants for a later time when
you can clone from them and continue into flowering at some time in the future.

BAS has a useful tutorial there.

I forgot about using root plugs even though theyve worked great for me in the past.
Ive got 4 cuts of Sannies JB X MS in cloning pots as we speak. It's a strain that seems to be no longer available. Success is vital!
I love JB X MS has a crazy smell and is super dense! The good news is the once freebie that ran out is now sold as Madberry I guess it was such a great hit as a freebie.

Lol seriously?

Thats great news. The name was awkward. I called it by a few diff names lol.

I heard mention of Madberry and I didnt get into investigating its identity. Sannie is totally legit in my book. He's probably the first person I encountered in weed world that i found to be of unquestionable integrity.

Well in case i ruin these cuts I got an out!

Sannie is a good guy to do business with.

REALLY?
that's awesome, when I got my sugarpunch I got the MS x JB freebie, and it was sooooo much better than th SP, a keeper in fact, so cool to hear he kept it!
Course I thought I was supercool for holding onto it, but hey if the world can share her, than why not be happy!
the smell and taste is amazing, different than any strain I've done, really hard to describe it.
I called it the madjack, I got two phenos from my freebies, and kept one, I have the other flowering right now, and it looks beautiful.
Hope I can keep the damn mites off her long enough to finish it healthy, the mites this year are gnarly... fuckers...

thanx for all the responses peeps. sorry i havent chimed in....kinda forgot i started this thread. and from the looks of it so did yall....lol. happy this thread helped yall. hopefully ordering products in a week and cloning shortly there after. 1st time cloning....this should be fun. Peace and thanx again.

you get the ez cloner?
easiest thing ever to use.
distilled water, no clone gel, no aloe, no nothing.
roots in about 10 days for most

wrap clones in cling wrap put in the bottom of your fridge for 2-3 even 4 months take out and root do a few clones out of 10 8 or 6 will pull thru

Cloning your clones (2nd gen) will give you optimal third generation clones which will have intense vigour, extra tight nodes, and they can crystal up sooner and be finished a few days earlier too.
Then it goes downhill from there (3rd genners are the bees knees)..
I know some OGs that's all they talk about..

That doesn't make any sense. If that were true nobody would want clone only strains that's obviously not the case. Who doesn't want gg4? Gsc? Og kush? Gdp? I'm talking about clone only, not s1 hybrids. . Come on Bro that's just dumb as fuck.

hmm been cutting clone from clone off one strain for 9 years genetics are still fine and no they don't finish any earlyer

Lol who calls someone bro then says their shit is dumb as fuck.
Shit son how did you get so popular on here, you're a beast!

Just check if you're fuckin wit an older mama or younger one, jus gotta know if its 2nd gen or not..is that so hard, amigo?

.. lets not argue like idiots tho, Mr. S! I'm starting a breeding company, and if you have any good research to rebuttal my claim I'd be happy to read it and verify with others publicly after. I actually read research reports people provide thoroughly, and make summaries for the Dons..

That said, Most people don't even know that 95% of seed companies are 99% junk.. F1 batches are small potent and sell out then get replaced by weaker watered down batches..
The amount of keepers One can get is 9/10 vs 1/10 by dealing with a talented local breeder directly .. Check out stories on the coveted Gravy Train

In fact, I'm lucky to know quite a few breeders, both local, retired, and up and rising.. plus dope boys who been moving the same strains for years by the crop, and the smell and everything will be on point, structure and sugar and all, but the end-potency is on the fritz without a doubt..so its hard to tell unless you smoke same strains over a couple years or more..

You can keep a second gen mother alive for years, np, too dawg..
I even know someone who yielded 7lbs off a mother, and pulled 20,000 clones off of just over a dozen moms.
That's enough that they had to plant in two provinces, lol.

As long as ruderalis is kept in check there's a massive amount of flexibility but the point is, what generation your mother is makes a difference in everything I stated..

I even did an experiment and the pics don't lie. Lots of guys on RIU here were surprised.. Finished at 49 days, instead of 56-60, frost laden RIGHT coated by trichs, by day 23. lights have a big impact on terpene profiles, yes, and we were using DIY led but the results were sick.
You act like just because there are clone only strains and I'm claiming a loss in vigour in cloning that everyone who cops clone only's are stupid, but nope not all!
Both beginners and experts chase clones down so there has to be value in them.

Let me know your research. Experience is not enough. I may have been misinformed by several successful people, that is all. And my third gen experiment maybe a fluke of a freak of nature..

Just remember, its highly recc'd to thouroughly quarantine any outside plants for disease and pests. One female mite is all it takes..

..Do you smoke this yourself?
Tell me bout da strain..

I guess it's unfair comparison..this is also relative to growing styles.. Good point.
1st year into growing I had lights 4000k diy led panels built for me so its kinda like, everything finishes earlier.. Thanks to DonPetro

Maybe talk to Dp once his shoulder heals, homecat has LeD skills-
You could grow ten years worth of herb during these next 9 years and take a year off !

anytime man, although I 'm afraid it's nothing profound.
I got an ez cloner, put 2-3 gallons of distilled water in it (or more depending on which model you get, about an inch below the jet-manifold)
get a exacto knife or a new razor blade (or extremely sharp scissors), I get separate party cups with tape labels of whatever strain they are, I make a diagram of my cloner so there is NO damn way I mislabel...again.....
dumbshit.. losing the beautiful jack herer...what an asshole...:wall:
ah sorry. I digress a lil. So yes, it is absolutely crucial you label and make your diagram exactly to match your ez cloner, I have some tape on one side to ID which side is which.
Immediately after cutting the cuts I put them in the party cups which I have a third filled with water (doesn't have to be distilled)
I do that so they are soaking for the time that i'm getting other cuts, I also prefer the softer "green" cuts rather to the "woodier" ones (for the ez cloner, if you are doing it old-school with a dome I find the woody ones are better)
anyways, that's it, put the cuts in the cloner and turn it on, I also have an aquarium pump in there with an air stone on it for the hell of it, although my understanding of physics proves it to be useless, but I still like it.
I prefer a single t5 24 w bulb above them, about 4-6" above them, I have it on 24/7 if I take flowering cuts (I often do) or 18/6 if it's off veging moms.
I also like to trim the leaves to "fit" their footprint, so as to not overlap the others.
after each "batch" I run a whole bottle of hydrogen peroxide in it, with another gallon of distilled water.
---side note-- I HAVE run my well water in it and they rooted just fine, BUT the squirters got clogged after one batch.
