I am on my second grow, 4 plants manifolded in 600w HID 4x4 tent.

Here is current state of tent...

As you can see light is ultra close ( i put the MH back in on 660w mode for last weeks )

Its a stretchy manifold grow, so there is about 1m of vertical nug field to penetrate, with medium heavy defoliated plants that let light all the way down to the coco..
My question - should have my light as low as i can go without burning the plants, or should i stick to the "at least 30cm for a 600w" rules? (i have it low at the mo to get the light as close to the low nugs as possible )

Honestly you plants look like they are hating it. Foxtailing, overall fading, long single blade leaves and at the end of the day nanners, thats what you can expect with too much light over the course of time. Do not push it so hard...

Yes, its foxtails growing out of foxtails in the dip around the light... - thanks for reply, will try to stick to 30cm minimum!

If you look at big scale operations they never run the lights close. Put it all the way up in the top if you're in a tent in flower.

You get better spread at longer distance to and less hot spots. Plants doesn't count numbers, humans do. Cheers!
