i have 2 diff. strains under each and so far they seem to be growing equally well. this is the 1st time I've grown with them so I'm still playing with distances but my plants are all about 8in. tall and nice n' green so far. ill keep posting my results on here to compare.

the king plus . says you should turn it off after 5 or so hours so the light will last longer we know you cant do . i run 24/7 idk what to think why would you need to turn off when it has built in fans . Using tips:

Please let the light have a rest for about 20mins after 5-6hours working
Optimized Driving Current Increases Diode Efficiency and Output, Resulting in a Brighter, Higher Yielding Footprint
Proprietary 12 Band Complete Perfect Spectrum including both IR & UV diodes
Magnified PAR and Increases Canopy Penetration By Up to 200%
Quiet Fans, Precision Drivers, Superior Craftsmanship
Lighting Time setup: Vegetative Stage: 12-14 hours on; Flowering Stage: 9-12 hours on. Fruiting Stage: 7- 8 hours on
Suggest distance above plants: 1.2-2m

i saw that in the reviews before i bought it and some people said they ran theirs for 2 yrs w/ regular light schedules with no problems. I've had mine on 24/0 for 4 weeks w/ no issues so far. we'll see after a few grows how it holds up. most reviews on it is good but i knew i was taking a chance buying a chinese light. its like gambling but so far I've gotten winning hands. ill do a review on here after a couple grows and let everyone know how its holding up. after all vipar spectra are chinese made as well and are recommended in most cannabis forums. spec s are similar as well except led wattage which king claims their 10w double chipped are superior to lower watt leds. just this feature suggests to me that this light should last longer than the vipar. time will tell! Happy New Year man!

notice in the picture . the apolo is a lot more bright . the apollo has 3 watt led chips old led tech but still works . today we use 5 watt and cob new and improved .. the new light notice its very dim compared to the apollo look like 1 watt led . not ripping on you this is what i see at least . all running off 1 chip .
I do agree that when I look at each light the Apollo seems brighter. But does brighter always necessarily mean more Watts? I heard dimmer lights may sometimes be actually putting out more Watts per sq ft. Than some brighter lights which means brightness may be irrelevant sometimes. I wish there was a way to measure each lights wattage and brightness intensity to see their true power. Even if the Apollo is say brighter, the 1000 watt is a bit cheaper ($95) and at say they are running at 1w chips, that's still a minimum of 200 true watts while the true wattage of the Apollo is 135 true watts. Also, the Apollo as puctured has mtiple different colors coming out of it while my 1000 watt is only a pink light so does that mean the pink light isn't full spectrum and only giving off 1 type of spectrum? Thanks for replying!

no just pink does not just mean 1 color . im sure they are full spectrum led . can go by the color we see . only way to tell is throw it under a spectrum meter and see what you have . quick posting . http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/331681689854?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true see the color value in the pink .

Here are the specs for the 1000 watt:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/152368981971?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Now it says LED Quantity:200pcs x 5W LED, which equals 1000 watts, but that cannot be the true wattage it's actually giving off. So is this spec just saying it's 1000 watts replacement or are they actually using 5W x 200 lights?

those look like 1 watt led. so how many led x 1 watt . want to know for sure bring it to your local hydro store they will have a device you can plug things into and see how many watts its pulling .
