Opinions for best medium as soon as the Radicle pops.

I am on my first grow. I have germinated 3 seeds successfully and planted them and they all look great. I planted the seedlings in a 2 gallon pot. I am afraid that this pot may be a little big for the size of the plants preventing the root to effectively form a nice root ball, it may be too spread out.

Anyway I was thinking of using rock wool or soil balls (not sure the technical term but if anyone knows I would like to!).

What do you guys think is better for starting brand new seeds?

yes, i would place them in once they sprout. I have been using clones exclusively for the past decade so my test data is dated :)

As soon as my seeds popped I put them in 2" rockwool cubes. Worked pretty well but I think I over watered at first and lost one to that I think.
planted another one too deep and it had a tough time making it out of the cube. ended up sort of pulling on it and it came out kinda corkscrewish.
Ended up really floundering so I just pulled it. Rockwool cubes in a dome seem to be the way to go though. Seems like everything that died was my fault.
Live and learn. As soon as I had five nodes I topped em and used the top for a clone 6/6 survived, again in rockwool cubes. Ended up smoking two of the clones after I took them out of the dome...............DOH!! Kickin ass now though. What is your plan on growing once ya get past this stage?

Hi:

Are you saying that you already planted all 3 seedlings in 1 pot - together? You realize that they will all grow together and you won't be able to separate them right? I'd take them out now and either put them each in a small coco pot with soil (my mthod) or go ahead and try the rockwool - but I really like coco pots.
