my weed minerals, haven't use them and never will. Any company that uses the kind of verbiage to market their product to stoners that they do is not anything I will use. This is from their label:

"Contains the critical divalent ionic minerals essential for metabolic synthase transformation in trichomes for higher potency in weed."
"created using a proprietary magnetic vortex technology"

^^^^^^^What a load of crap but it sounds cool.^^^^^^

I've purchased Clonex years ago. It works but so does the cheap powder you can get at Home Depot for $4.99 a container. Most cloning solutions are using IBA so it doesn't really matter who you get it from. I don't use any anymore. I use honey from my kitchen cupboard. Works great.

A good root grow product is a good environment, decent soil or well prepared coco, and proper feeding. You don't need any special product to get roots to grow. Keeping the plant healthy is the best way to grow roots. You don't need any additive.

As for germination I prefer to plant directly in soil and skip the unnecessary paper towel step. I know people use the paper towel method but I have never heard a decent reason to do so. Damp is damp. Why not just start the seed in damp soil? What does a paper towel do other than risk damaging the seedling?

I second the statements of xtsho. My only difference is that I hang a pill bottle half full of spring water, ph'ed to 6.0 above one my lights to germinate. 24 hours at most and it has popped a tail. Then plant in soil/coco mix and place above the light again. 2 to 3 days and I have seedlings ready for the world. These then get 16 hours CFL at 72 F and spritzed with the same water. 10 days out I introduce them to real lights, at a distance, and a half strength feeding of organic fish emulsion. A week later and it is full light and food.

I don't use any snake-oil anything for clones or roots. A friend gave me a bottle of clonex a few years ago just to try, but it did absolutely nothing for the plants that were directly beside the plants without it. I tried it, found it didn't do anything, and has sat on a shelf ever since.

I use the moist paper towel method inside of a sealed zip lock bag, wrapped up in a black towel and set on top of my fireplace or fridge until they've rooted. I use this method because years ago, I wanted to start my seeds a few days before I picked up my medium, and it worked so well. I have planted directly in soil as well, but for me, I get a better germination rate doing it the zip lock/paper towel method. Could be due to the environment, medium or whatever, but I just simply do what works for me.

Heh Spek. I hear ya. Did the ziplock thing for ever. Was always hit and miss due to the crazy temperature changes and sub tropical, mostl of the year here. Try placing your bag on top of your light or suspended above it if too hot. Just put the baggie between two saucers.

jiffy (natures organic seed starting mix?
I just got on. Read my above post on how i germinate and sprout. It has been 100% successful with every bean that sank. I'd skip all the hyped methods and overly advertised mediums. I do however use a product called Dairy Doo 101 mixed 50/50 with coco to sprout. It contains essential bacteria and fungus spores as well as enough food to get everything going. I;m willing to share what I do if it will help you. Peace.
