Opinion needed on Triches please

Hi guys,

Need an expert opinion on my babies.

1st time ive grew the herb but have a fair amount of knowledge from growing Chilli plants for a few years.

Currently on Day 52 since flip.
Temps and humidity i guess ive been quite lucky with as they seem to be pretty dialled in naturally in the environment.

Day temps around 77f and RH 44%
Night temps around 71f and RH 52%

Under a V900 Vipar LED pulling 437w from the wall.

So here's my query...

Got what should be 2 x Amnesia Haze Clones
Currently around 30" tall and packing nicely

Thinking that Amnesia Haze is more Sativa than indica i was expecting long finger leaves and taller babies.
Not complaining as what ive done to my babies, they seem very happy indeed.

So day 52 puts me at 7.5 weeks.

Am Haze should be a 10+ weeker from what i gather?
But im already seeing a fair bit of amber on baby #2
Dont want to over do the them and miss the prime time chop.
Whilst at the same time, dont want to be fooled into thinking they are ready if they are not.
Buds are very dense and lathered in THC, so am quite happy currently to say its 1st time ive done this.

Can anyone hazard a guess of where they think i am with these babies?
Hopefully the pics are enough, tried a couple of pics through a 30x Loupe, but think ill need a 60x for a better view of the triches.

To chop or not to chop in the coming days is the question.

Appreciate any advice offered.

How can you tell what color the trichs are with that light? Need pics under regular lights for peeps to help. Hope that didn't come across as rude, as that was not the intention.

Not all of the plants will amber at the same time. You might have one amber a full week before another. Those get harvested first. No biggy.

The plant pictured in the white light looks like another week and half or two weeks off. She hasn't given up on looking for pollen. She's not ready to die.

Quark - Didnt come across as rude at all. LED was still on as am a stickler for not interfering during lights out but i understand it makes it hard to judge.

So with that said, am i ok to switch lights off during lights on period just for 1 minute to take a few photos? or would that likely mess with the baby some what? No way do i want to stress them at this stage of the game :)

Southcross, thanks for imput, makes sense, they still reaching and few new calyx appearing still on lower part of stem.

I have noticed today though, that baby #2 is starting to yellow off lower down. That could be 1 of 2 reasons though, had to go away for work for couple of days. So they missed a drink. Baby #1 looking mighty, however baby #2 drooped lower leaves and yellowing off so maybe she badly missed that drink unlike #1 or she is giving up the ghost naturally.

Pic belowof baby #2.

Turning the lights off for a few minutes won't hurt anything, unless u have an hps it can be bad for the light turning it off then turning it right back on. I usually wait until they switch off and take a few pics as the light powers down. And as of the plants they look good to me a microscope to check the trics is the only sure way to tell. But it really depends on your preference of bud, by all means to some ppl those girls are ready right now to others they would wait another a week or so. All depends on your preference.

Thanks Quark/Greenthumbs for letting me know its ok for a minute on the light for a few photos.

Thanks again greenthumbs for the advice.

Primarily after cloudy with very small amount of amber and then a few nuggets maybe to go a bit further by having a touch more amber so ive got variation in the smoke i have produced (Should all go well between now and curing).

Gone with the advice of another 10 days and see where they are as gave them possibly a final 500ppm feed before possibly flushing.
But that then leads me to next question, do i flush or do i not flush?
If flush, do i flush with RO water? easily obtainable for myself. Or just stay with tap water, which i think is about 150ppm or there abouts.

Reading various internet posts with some saying flush and others saying its not necessary.
Last thing i want is the fruits of my labour tasting metallic/harsh.

All advice digested :)

You don't have to turn the light off. If you have a decent powered led flashlight, spotlight, LED shop light.... The white of the beam will overpower the pink/purple. You can see the true colors. It'll also show the true colors for photos.

I've used the enclosed LEDs.

Could u prove that not saying ur wrong but I thought the hps would still mess with the camera I stopped trying to take pics with it on. BTW I found an amazing camera app I'll show the difference between my regular cam and the new app. The app is called cozy magnifier. Don't think I need to say which is which u can see the difference!

What strain is that? The shear amount of hairs is impressive. It looks like a bowl of spaghetti noodles.

Cant make my mind up on baby #2. Domed kola top as compared to baby #1 which has pointy kola. Maybe nothing to concern myself about. Initially thought it had hermied. Gave bud a gentle squeeze but no seed that i can feel so hopefully not hermied. Thought she maybe foxtailing so lifted the light 6".
The difference in looks on main kola between the 2 babies is quite noticable. Will see come the end i guess.

Managed to get a few pics of buds with lights off...
