Fundamentally the 1% drives politics. Manufacturing jobs went overseas to line pockets. Nothing more.

We were told to go get a college education and jobs would then be available. Go borrow money to get educated in the most expensive education system on the planet. Not everyone is going to college even if free. Not all people were born equal and that should not preclude them from having a descent life. Jobs with living wages had better be made available or people will do what the have to. We have for-profit prisons for them. Lotsa profits from our misery

Oh sure sure we're told that now the jobs have to go overseas otherwise that overseas country threatens not to buy our government subsidized corn.

Hardly a "free market" yet it's been excellent for wealth consolidation. The 1% approaching the 0.5%

I plan to join the protests this weekend. Trump doesn't represent change. He represents racism, sexism, and greed. I feel it would be immoral and unpatriotic for me to support those things. Even though I will be busy despising Trump publicly, I do not despise the people who voted for him. I question their judgement, that's all.

Not saying its a bad thing to protest but... would you protest if it was Hillary? She is way worse than Trump... if you read about her foundation, husband, the leaks (not what the media reported about the leaks, the actual leaks) you will see the evil.
Trump managed to bring stuff that was already in people's minds, its not new hate or anything... it has 'always' been there, every freaking day... One thing I like (if one could even use that word to describe Trump's presidency) is that he has little political capital.. sure he is got traction with people one some 'issues' but if he fucks things up, there will be pitchforks and people will really take the streets (one can hope so..) as for Hillary she could probably fuck up as much as Obama, Bush and other crooks did and people would still love her and think "well... it isnt so bad.. at least her public speeches dont make us too embarrassed about being north americans".

We could all wear shirts covered in ejaculate to protest about being the victim of an affair.

If it helps you to vent, i am here my friend.
No thanks. I'm taking my frustration to the streets.
I wonder if it's too early to order #NotMyPresident bumper stickers. Or we maybe "Trumps Sucks"?
God knows I saw plenty of "Obama Sucks" bumper stickers. Republicunts can't complain about their favorite theme, right?

Agreed!! And I think its much easier for the american people to fight sexism, racism at home than it is to fight greed, that spreads to all the nations that deal with the US and brings wars, poor quality of life (Flint anyone? Dakota?). Not to mention the DAILY bombs killing innocents from US backed allies all around the middle east just so that companies can move in and rebuild stuff and show nice little economic growths in these regions which clearly do not reflect on the quality of life of those involved - useless you are a company. All moved by greed in my opinion.

I would protest Hillery also. Both of these candidates represent what the fuck is wrong around here. They just do it from different perspectives.
I second that! Im still pissed about Bernie selling out and Jill Stein not getting elected.

In 15 years this may be seen as the events needed to get people fucking angry enough to do something. People can still vote candidates out. We can demand more openness with who dared to propose legislative spending instead of hiding from it as they can now. Then hold them accountable. We Americans have short fuses, but short memories, too. Those running the show know this and they simply wait us out.

Maybe now we're angry enough to not forget so quickly

Gosh, This is why I like politics....So many have no idea of political reality!

Influence by focused media and he said/she said prevails.

All you "smart" fools, who were never around to actually experience life before Reagan. have no idea how political parties actually are supposed to work. Reagan sowed the seed and Newt took the party system to levels of hate and mistrust to cause what we have now - non working government that only see's what they want.....

In the good ol days. It was Dem vs. Rep. each had policies they wanted to forward. Someone was elected. The people and parties left ideals behind. Everyone sat down, worked together, and GOT things done!

Oh, and BTW...the Trump folks would have taken the streets in far bigger numbers!

"W" stole the election! And Hillery will go down in history as being the second candidate that lost after winning the popular vote!

The creation of Isis thing was brought around by "W" and his destabilization of the middle east. This gave way to the "Arab spring" and the fall of governments that allowed the Isis thing to happen...TRUTH!
"W" took office with a balanced budget! He created the largest US debt in history at the time..TRUTH!
The "great recession" happened in "W's" term. It was made possible by policy and legal changes HE made! (with a nod to Reagan). TRUTH!

I'm SO tired of voting for the lessor evil! Especially when the bigger keeps winning!

Well at least the globe will get warmer so all those in the north can grow longer.....:wall:
