No, haven't seen any tacoing yet. So far they've had no problem handling about 4-5 hours per day in the mid-to-high 90's (outside temps in the low 80's), we'll see in about 3 days how they do when it gets much hotter. Last time the outside temps got into the low 90's, the temps in the structure went up to around 106º. In four days it's supposed to hit 99º, that will be a new test marker. I have all the fans in there that will fit, so the only other option I can think of is to put a shade over the space during the hottest part of the day on extreme heat days. I have some (open weave) burlap I can use for partial shading, and then move to more opaque materials if that's not enough.
 
Things are progressing, unevenly, as expected. All different strains, different pot sizes, different medium mixes. So far the only difference I've seen between Roots Organic 707 and Happy Frog soil is that the 707 dries out faster. If you feed with water that could be a good thing, gives more opportunities to feed. I'm not at this point, but it's OK. I will say that the reflective insulation is working *really* well at keeping the pots cool and slowing down their drying out overall.

I'm feeling like its a scrawny bunch compared to previous years. Not sure if that's because I'm in pots and not the ground, or is a result of the extra heat in the grow space... or I'm just not remembering accurately. Could be any of the above.

Another note that could be total coincidence, is that the two plants in short wide containers are forming as shorter wider plants. So the taller narrower pots -- which are 80% of what I used this time -- seem to be encouraging taller narrower plants. That could be a thing.

Thanks. I hope so too!! lol

Haven't sprayed anything, hoping not to have to. The bug netting keeps most things away, I'm sure anything that is really small like mites could get in and anything that comes up from the ground will. But in previous years bug netting over hoops worked, so I'm hoping this will too.

It's supposed to reach 97º today, that's a lot of heat to manage. Next week we get the SW heat wave as it makes its way up the coast. Good thing they're tough plants.
 
1-2 weeks left, Its stays under a sp3000 but when the suns out full blast I use it! This heatwave we've been having in has been incredible for extra yeild. Even the larf is dense. Hoping for 8+ozs. Smells like lambs breath and fuel. Fastbuds Sour Diesel Auto. Next grow I have GG auto and I vow to not burn this next grow.

I guess the heatwave is hitting a lot of the country (or the world?). At least the plants are enjoying it.

That's a lot of bud mass! Looks great. What did you feed her?

Too much Sensi coco bloom. Only distilled water these last couple weeks. Seems to really improve the smell. Its a strong fuel stink. Like Lambs Breath and sweet Diesel fuel. It looks better inside, has a cool purple haze. Hard to see anything other than brown in these pics
 
Thinking of harvesting that plant by cutting out the roots and hanging it whole for a week then separate it out for another week. Then clip the buds and jar em for another couple weeks. Im not really sure the best parameter as far as heat and humidity would be for that first week hanging it whole. Thinking outside in the greenhouse since the humidity is higher. Looking for pointers..

I'm not an expert, but I've always been told to dry in a dark place, I'm not sure how important that is, but the greenhouse may not be the best place? Are you trying to dry it more slowly, or just trying to be sure that with all that density it dries evenly? And how much control do you have over the humidity? If you have a space that you can control RH, then there might be one approach, if you are dealing with a preexisting amount of humidity then you would adapt the method to the circumstance. At least that's what I would do.

I have ways to control the humidity to some degree but I just don't know what the best parameters are in general.

Thanks! It's a mix of all of those. Strain is called Purple Hulk (GDP crossed with Bigbud auto I believe). My day temps are 65ish, night temps 53ish.

The purpling really started becoming pronounced when I cut the nitrogen.
 
This is one of the Blue Dream autos that's turning purple as well. Likely the low temps and nearing the end of it's life that cause the purple.

My plants seem to have survived the fairly epic heatwave (said to be a "1 on 1000 year event", but that's a pre-climate change notion). The hottest it got was 116º in the hoop house, and then I threw an opaque tarp over the roof. It finally cooled off and is heading towards our normal weather, which is a really, really good thing.

Here's some pics of the buds developing, gotta love autos, starting to flower in the end of June when the days are the longest.

In order: Cindy Jack, Purple Scoop, HBH, Mango Smile, Glueberry OG, and Daiquiri Lime. DL is the tallest and the last to start flowering, if I had put that one in the ground, it probably would have been a 16 week plant and a beast. All the rest are within a week or two of each other in terms of bud development.

Western Canada is also in a heatwave, but I'm near the ocean so not as bad as other locations in my province.

Lytton (a small town in BC) set a Canadian record for the hottest temps ever recorded, at 47.9 C / 118.2 F

My plant was doing really good but it started dropping leaves like crazy....I think I may have been over watering it, not used to growing in soil

Anyhow, here she is....I'm bringing her to my friend's house so he can babysit it while I'm away on vacation for 2 weeks

Only grew three or four autos outside so far, but we don't have the best climate, we get between 10-14 hours light here depending on season . Just threw them in the garden bed and gave them a hose once/twice a week.

BCN Critical cross Landrace Ruderalis from khazakstan, week 5 of flower/week 8 from pop, ran last season.

Ak420 auto, day 25 from pop. Only getting 10 hours Sun ATM, and it's 8c at night lol. I'm surprised it's alive. It's surplus ran outdoors as my tents are full ATM, and too many popped. Just showing pre flowers as of two days ago. In 5 gal fabric pots this time, peat moss/compost/perlite with a 2 tbsp of controlled release 11-4-13 top dressed (probs the worst medium ever, full.of sticks and rocks lol), and tap water so far. First time growing outdoors in pots....liking the fact that I can move it inside on wet, 8c nights.
