Oops...Can I start a seedling in flower temporarily?

Okay, so my first grow is almost done with and for some reason I thought that I would start my seedlings now (about 5-7 days left in the grow), and totally forgot they'd be in a 12/12 life cycle...

So is it okay if I leave my seedlings in there for 5-7 days on 12/12 then switch to 24/0? One seed was just planted today, other one still has 2 crack...

Thanks all

They'll stretch a little but it really shouldn't be much of a problem. If they look too lanky give them a toothpick for support.

No, specifically the 12 hours or less of light is what makes them stretch. That's kinda what happens to most plants. If I were to put my basil plant into 12/12 it would double in height in less than a week, even with me trimming it. I keep the lights on for 18 hours, however, so my basil stays short and squat and easier to manage. Your pot seedlings will act the same way.

Plants stretch in flowering because of hormones making them flower, if you put a seedling into 12/12 it will not start flowering or stretching because it isnt mature enough to flower, it will just veg in 12/12. Now whether the lack of light makes them stretch or not i dont know but you should be fine. People start their plants in 12/12 all the time.
